October 13th is the 1 year Anniversary of the signing of the UIGEA.

We all know what a complete disaster this piece of ........ legislation is, here is your chance to tell Congress face to face. The PPA just announced that it is hosting a Poker Policy Conference and two days of citizen advocacy in Washington D.C. The invite, which can be linked to below, was sent to PPA members who reside in the Congressional Districts of Members of Congress who serve on the House Judiciary and Financial Services Committees. The full list of members is at the bottom of this post.

While our initial outreach is limited to those select PPA members, the PPA welcomes all those interested in attending to plan to be in Washington. At the very least players form every state to show the National impact of this wrong headed Congressional "solution?” Show up and be heard!

Simply send an email to the dedicated address wash-fly-in@pokerplayersalliance.org and you will receive a registration form and information about PPA hotel discounts.

A special note to those in the DC area, as I am. The PPA will need our help making sure our out of town visitors have the best time possible. I have a standing offer of rides to and from the airports, and to offer whatever assistance might be needed in making sure our guests find whatever local information they need. Questions can be sent to me here or posted in a dedicated thread in the PPA members forum at: http://webringamerica.com/4/pokerplayersalliance/viewforum.php?f=62

Again, more information can be found at this link: http://pokerplayersalliance.org/news/newsandarticles_article.php?DID=270

There are a number of fun side events planned including some poker to be played. All of the details are not final and public or offical so you'll just have to trust me that this isn't going to be a just a policy wonk event.
