Hello, So it's taken alot for me to admit it but I struggle online with building a bankroll and bankroll management but that's besides the point lol.

I usually start with $10 or so when i deposit.

general course of action is I startout in a mtt for 10c-$1 and if i lose than I'll try to get it back at a cash game.

I'm failing, and it's frustrating especially because when I play live poker I'm a winning poker player.

Online I just can't seem to figure it out or to get ahead.

What are some suggestions from those who have started with nothing and build it up.

I think it;s great if you just happened to win 1 big tourney but i'm more curious to know of the actual strategy and method used to get their!

Thanks

Man, I've made a little bit starting w/freerolls only and then sng's. I remember the days of being comped $5-10 and playing until I made enough for a cash-out or went bust. I think you're on the right path to try and boost your roll. Micro stakes seems to be the typical blueprint for grinding a $10 bankroll. I would include freerolls as well. Good luck.

As your bankroll is always very small, when you just deposit $10, I would recommend you to play some freerolls. It will help you to grow your bankroll at the beginning. I also would recommend some small SNGs. I dunno at which room you are playing at the moment. I would recommend you 888 as they offer some from $0.10 already.

Not sure what site you play on cause the smallest amount I've ever seen you can deposit is like 20.00. I am in the US and only have a few places I can play at. Also you need to learn Bankroll management if you haven't yet.

I remember how I had a 20$ bankroll. I played sng 0.25 and 0.50 cents, I also tried to pick up mt tournaments via satellites. And, once, I went to Bounty Builder 3.30, took 3rd place and won 300$. In my opinion, it is sometimes necessary to take risks and then perhaps you can win big money, increase your bankroll and play expensive tournaments.

I completely agree to take the risk. It is necessary to play tournaments for 2.2 $ and 3.3 $

I built a bankroll out of some initial small 10 or 15euro deposits.

I can tell you that i stood pretty lucky in partypoker, cause i won a 1$ MTT at my very first tournament. So you need luck aside from making good plays, if you are a tournament player.

I was always a tournament player and then i took a turn towards cash games, cause i saw more value and righteousness, so if i were to begin now building a bankroll i would always go for 4 tablin NL2 Cashgames with my 10 dollar/euro deposit.

I've posted this before. I believe the best way to try to build a bankroll is to play MTT's. Cash games are not good. MTT's are low risk high reward. Also like I posted before you have to have good BRM= Bankroll Management. GL.

I am making a steady small win almost every day against high variance that MTT's got.

Maybe you could try playing cash game only until you have enough bankroll to start playing MTTs. It worked for me very well.

I've never been able to manage my bankroll efficiently due to me not playing consistently but I have had my good nights playing sit n go's with good success. If i remember i profit $400.00 one night in 2-3 hours off of $10-$20 sit n go's. Other then that i think freerolls and playing at a manageable buy in for your bankroll don't play high stakes hoping to hit big with the small amount you have.
