Do you prefer to play poker online or in person? Which do you feel more comfortable to play with?

In my opinion, online poker is more of a math-based game because you cannot see the other players. Live poker is much more of a psychology-based game because you can get reads off the body language of other players. The math is still the same, of course, but in live poker we don't have HUDs to help us keep track of how often someone is raising, or 3-betting preflop, etc. We can still use our memory but its not as precise as when we play online.

Which one we prefer is just personal opinion. For myself, I am very strong at math, it was always my best subject in school and I used plenty of math for my engineering career... math is one of my best strengths. However, psychology is something I am terrible at, I am not a good reader of body language and since my face turns red when I get excited (have a big hand) and my hands shake at a live poker table, I have always felt that online poker suits me far better than live poker does. But other players will be the exact opposite. I do find live poker to be MUCH more exciting, but it is also a much slower game compared to online, and obviously you can only play one table at a time when playing live. Sometimes I'll be playing four tournaments simultaneously when I play online... so each format has its plusses and minuses and it just boils down to our strengths and our opinions of each one.

I prefer online poker because of the opportunity to get a lot of experience due to a large number of simultaneous tournaments, which is not realistic in live poker.

I like both. Playing online allows you to play at anytime and anywhere. I never played in a casino, just with friends and I enjoy it a lot. But it is difficult to see them because we all live in different cities now. So without online poker I would not be able to play poker now.

In poker offline, I played only once and not for money. I would certainly like to participate in a live tournament! In the meantime, I have not won any tickets, I play online poker and I like it.
