hi.well, maybe someone is playing for virtual money,but this is not for me.there you will not get the same experience and pleasure as in the game for real money.when people bet their blood money, the game is completely different for them.less risk, more thinking...

No, it makes no sense to me. There's one important component missing - value. People don't play seriously for play money, and it may weaken your game, cause you are used to those type of players (no offense tho for play money players) and when switch up to real money, I'm sure it will be hard to get used to.

I do, but I agree with you about people don’t play seriously in short stacks. I fell a little bit different when I play high stacks .

I used to play poker on play money. But I was enjoying it just at start. I played a lot and it became too boring. So I gave up on playing it.
Now I'm playing real money only. Microlimits but real money

Probably because whenever i tried playing on play-money sites i found myself at tables with at least 6 players in EVERY hand and some maniacs who would always raise with any 2 cards... It just wasn't fun to play there!

OK... You have a lot of this iin freerolls and micro stakes too, but the number of people playing a solid game simply is bigger at real money tables.

If i have no bankroll and can't afford to deposit i would rather play freerolls until i have enough funds to start playing micro stakes.

I used to, a long time ago.
I don't advise playing for play money as practice.
Too many people playing like mad men because it's not real money and so the way of playing differs too much from the real thing. It will get you bad habits and ideas.

Yes, sometimes. If i'm not playing pokerstars that much, sometimes I enjoy to play mixed games. So I keep playing in other poker rooms and also having some fun in the star mixed playmoney MTTs. Very nice, lots of crazy moves. I enjoyed the PlayWCOOP, not sure why they don't run this series anymore.

Playing for play money is an excellent learning tool. But the experiences that I had were not very good, since there is little intelligent game and zero strategy when it comes to betting most of the hands. Cheers

This is just like playing in a freeroll, a lot of people think that you can't play with a strategy just because of the type of opponents that you will face. But from my point of view, it depends of how seriously you face the challenge.

I personally started to play with a real strategy on play money and I manage to take the 50k that I had and build a bankroll of 20M.

I play first of all because I like it, I play free tournaments online, from where I sometimes earn a few cents, and I play live with friends, there for money of course

I'm starting too.. but so far just the money I won from freeroll... Not much, but it's a nice practice you know?! Se if you can beat the field from a certain buy in.. hopefully soon I'll make a deposite to play some higher buy in's

Play money makes people play silly. Of course they sometimes play silly anyway, but even with microstakes you get satisfaction from thinking about how to take advantage from it. Sometimes on Pokerface I play with it just to see faces.
