Such petitions will do nothing. We would have to go out into the streets and protest in front of parliament.

I can only imagine living somewhere where simply playing is deemed criminal, what a nightmare it must be living in a police state I though England was bad, I wish you guys down under all the luck in the world. I watched a 60 minutes programme recently about the Casino industry in Oz and the rhetoric used by the host was scary. He called gambling "Australia's equivalent of American gun crime" - talk about dramatic, comparing human lives with a check raise.

Best of luck with this. Unfortunately I am afraid, that a petition, which only gain minimal support, can have almost the opposite effect. It will likely be enterpreted by lawmakers as a sign, that the vast majority is happy with the current situation

The ban happened in 2017.
