I just happened to read in a sticky by nick in the allowed sites forum that illinois may ban internet poker. Man oh man this state is really goin to the dogs. Govorners going to jail, governors abusing or money and their position, chemical companies wanting polute or drinking water.
what a smelly crock of unwanted unwarranted government control. 1st they demand we have to wear seatbelts because they know whts best for us and now they won't let us play the way we want to because they can't or don't know how to get a piece of the pie! Bull****!!!!!! There!!@! I've vented.........But still don't feel any better about it because ther is no way to prevent these ass***** from doing what they want.

Yeah its a pretty sad state of affairs when our nazi gov. is telling us Americans what we can do with our own money, its really sickening and a grave insult to every vet who fought and died for our once great nation. Thank god I'm moving to reno where I will get a lot of live play, oh and on a funny note, online gambling is illegal in Nevada, LOL what the hell is wrong with this picture, the casinos bitch about online gambling and want it out lawed but in the same breath there dumb ass will not get off their dumb asses and create an online site of their own. Boggles the mind.

Actually, I believe there is an exustung law on the Illinois books akready that makes internet poker illegal. So far, nobody has come around to my house wanting to enforce it, nor do I expect them to aby tome soon. Meanwhile, I'll continue to be the same scofflaw as always.:)

I agree that government is WAY out of control and getting worse by the day. What I really wonder though, is how many of us have written our so-called representatives to air opinions/complaints, or ask for support or opposition to legislation or issues we are concerned about? I wrote Tom Tancredo about 2 months ago asking him if he would be willing to support legislation to levy a heavy tax on all dollars being sent out of the country by anyone who could not prove legal residency. I thought this idea would have some merit as the second highest infusion of money into the Mexican economy (behind PEMEX, their nationalized oil company) is dollars being sent into mexico by illegals working here. I especially thought Tancredo would at least entertain this idea. Well, the upshot is I wasn't even given the courtesy of a reply...so much for MY representative.
