Hi all,
For those of you who played in the Forum Challenge yesterday at royal vegas, what did you think? It was my absolute first time playing. I represented CardsChat.com. Since I'm somewhat of a newbie, I was nervous to know I had to go up against all these different forum players.
A couple of times, I thought I was "outta there", but managed to snag 16th place out of 1300+ participants. I guess that's not bad for a newbie such as myself, but too it's a little disappointing. I'll tell you why. I was up to 93,000+ dollars somewhere in the 6-8 position, then I experienced internet connection problems. By the time I was able to log back on, my stack was down to 60,000 and the blinds were raised, totally threw off my concentration. Too, I came back at a time were there were new players at my table and totally aggressive ones. Perhaps if I could've kept my steady connection and not have my focus interrupted, have time to study these players, I would have done better(perhaps anger and impatience - trying to get back on top played a role as well). Probably would have stayed on track for 8-10th position otherwise. Anyway, it was a real experience and I was happy to represent CardsChat.com this year.
Again, anybody who participated last night, tell me what you think. How was your experience? Thanks.
