This is a discussion on How many tables to play? within the online poker forums, in the Online Poker section; How many tables can you play at the same time? I play up to 6, but after 3 I see myself making mistakes.
I think it depends if I'm only playing NLH or if I'm mixing with PLO or PLO8. If it's only one type of game, I can play 6 tables at the same time, but I prefer to play 4 at maximum because with that amount I don't lose focus on the game and don't make silly mistakes.
I don't understand how you can play at multiple tables.Sometimes I play for two.But I only won once from both tables.I'm getting nervous.I make ill-considered moves. And I learned one rule:if you want to lose, play at multiple tables..If you want to win then choose one game.
Efficiently 2 tables , 4 is maximum , but better if 1 or 2 of them are freerolls or games of no importance , so I ccan play them without caring so much , without following the action at the table So 2 tables with serious games , and one or two less important or just freerolls or cyclone tables nowadays
I sometimes play quite a few especially on Saturdays when lots of tourney start at about same time. If all tables are holdem I think I play not too bad with 3 but if more than that it is a struggle. If there is a table with another variant then it can be extremely challenging.
I'm not really that good at multitabling. I can handle 2, but usually just play one.
I'm glad you found your sweet spot. I still haven't found mine. I've played up to four tables before. When I'm alert I can manage all four. That said, 2 is easier to handle and my results are better when I have 1 tourney I'm focusing on.
The more tables you play, the more opportunities you'll have to hit your range hands. The tradeoff, however, is that you won't realize the tendencies of the players at your table. Does Player A always fold to three bets? Does Player C fold the small blind when they're short stacked?
There are benefits and detriments to multi-tabling.

I usually play at 6 tables, once I tried to play at 10 tables, it was hard. The reason why I play a lot of tables is that I play about 12 tournaments per night if not more, that there would be more chances to go far in some of the tournaments. It is better to play many tables and look for luck in them than in one. Of course, everything depends on the bankroll.
There is no other fate than that which we choose ourselves!
That way you can pay attention to all the tables and notice tendencies of players. Since I play on GGpoker and HUDS aren't allowed - that's where the big edge comes in to play - you're not being told by a script how to play spots.
on Wednesday, I played at two tables. And made mistakes. Probably if I played for one - the result would be different. It seems to me that the ability to play at multiple tables depends on the speed of thinking. But the result of quick thinking is different for everyone.
I have 3 monitors so laying out the tables is pretty easy.
I'll play up to 8, but usually between 2-6 at a time depending on whats available. These are a combination of games from freerolls to abou $6.60 at the moment I am playing PLO8 while playing NLH, Which is easier wtih just two tables, but I will do this up to 8 tables if there are enough cheap games.
...I cut my deck to the Queen of Spades, but the cards were all the same...
Hi! If I'm not distracted by anything, I can play 4-6 tables. I often think for a long time about the distribution, so I don't have time for more tables, I start to hurry and get angry. But my husband plays much better than me and he plays a huge number of tables, there are more than 20 if he plays sng, and if he plays tournaments, then 10-12! If he has fewer tables, then he is bored, because he makes decisions quickly. I'm shocked with it.
I think 3-4 are the most you can play and have good results. The concentration to the games is better and you can watch more of the informations from the games. You can enjoy the games much better like this!
