Hello everyone, we may naturalize the concept of online poker, the fact of being able to play instantly with players from all over the world.
It is something impressive that until a few years ago, surely nobody imagined this repercussion.

Why does a pioneer country in this game like the United States have many restrictions to access online poker?

How far is technology beneficial for a poker player?

Do you think that in the future we will have more laws about online games?

Is there a worldwide political conspiracy against online poker?

Thank you very much for your answers.

I think in the future the government firmly grab the poker industry. Authorities will try to cover up the oxygen regular players. They will introduce a lot of taxes.

I don't think it's a worldwide conspiracy, it's just governments wanting to remain in control of the gambling industry. As long as they can regulate and take their cut in taxes, they generally allow it. One unfortunate side effect of this is the ring-fencing requirement where many countries (or even individual states in the US) only allow play against people in the same area.

I like to think this will change in the future through collaborations among both poker sites and governments that solve these requirements, and there will be a global online poker boom again. Only time will tell!

I think that it will be more difficult for ordinary players to make money in poker, the rooms will ban HUD and cancel all bonuses for regular players, they will come up with new types of fast poker. Poker will be a fun place to spend money.

I believe that in the future there will be no restrictions in any country but taxes will be imposed for both players and poker rooms, so promotions and bonuses will disappear..

The future will be there for online poker, it’ll be just different. Slowly but surely it’ll make its way back into the mainstream. I don’t see a boom or anything of that nature, but with the way poker performs on Twitch, that might help its performance overall. Twitch is valuable to the online poker world. There are some sites out there, besides the big ones, that are doing well today. Americas Cardroom, ignition, and most recently Global Poker are starting to come more into play. A cellphone App called pppoker app is starting to create some waves too for real money online. The downside to online is that it’s getting more difficult as time goes on due to massive information to learn and take in plus there aren’t quite as many fish as there used to be. Still, fish are there but not a enormous amount like back in the golden era. Overall, online poker will live on, it’ll just be different than it once was I believe.

I think that online poker does not have a future, because in the future there will be many programs that help players win the opponent

I think online poker itself has reached it's peak as there are way too many things to compete with now.

Tech has both it's pros and cons. To sum it up it has become easier to gather data but as it requires less interaction between people. Which is an important psychological aspect.

Yes the numbers of laws and regulations are steadily growing regarding the internet which also affects everything online.

I don't know much about conspiracies. It's question of preference wherever you like to play. The common ground between us is that we all like to play poker.

It depends on regulation. There will always be a market for online players, but will the games/sites be trustworthy?

I think in the States legalizing online poker is a very political decision. Casino chains, big donors for political parties are against it. For obvious reasons, mainly, they view online gambling as direct competition. They're afraid they'll lose a part of their customers and do not want to see a drop in their profits. And as long as politicians are legally bribed with donations to the party, they will play along and defend the casino's interests. I know 2-3 states legalized it, you can play on wsop.com in Nevada. But until bigger markets like California legalize it, there's no chance of online poker making a comeback to what it used to be. Probably more states legalized marijuana than online poker. I think we all underestimated how long it would take for online poker to become legal again.

In PA I feel like the process of registering for a site out weighs the length of time it's taking to get poker up and running. There are all kinds of things online casinos are requiring, before they allow u to even see what the site is like. 3 different forms of identification, deposit, and even location technology. Though it's the day and age we are living in, so why not be more complicated then signing up for a credit card.

Based on my experiences the deposite option and transition over bank it will be a challange in the future for online poker. Poker will continue to grow regardless. Waiting for a regulation for online poker in countries casino is not legal.

More and more players are choosing poker rooms from Asian networks due to the very weak playing field and the wealth of Asians. This trend is likely to continue in the coming year.
Blockchain. Many rooms are gradually trying to introduce cryptocurrency, and some are even created for this format of mutual settlements. One can hope for mass adoption of blockchain and something else.

I think on-line Poker will go from strength to strength especially when you take into account that in today's Corona Virus state. we will find many Casino's not re-opening soon. Everyone talks about getting back to normal, but will we?
Just because a Government might lift lockdown procedures, does not mean that the epidemic is over and we can go back to the way we were, if anything we might find more people staying away from public areas for their own safety and that means Pubs, Clubs, Cinemas, and Casino's, among many, many other places.
I for one do not see me going back to drink in a Pub when I can get a case of Canned beer in for a quarter of the price of a single night out. not when there is a strong possibility that entering a Pub could put my life at risk.
That also goes for Casino's, I am happy playing on-line, whenever I want, whatever time of day I choose, and for any stakes I want to. I consider myself lucky to be at an age where I can honestly say " Been there, Done that, and have the T-shirt". So I will not miss those days,

When the fun Stops, STOP!

I think online poker should be legalized in the US and I believe it will be in the near future. Like anything else with legalization will come regulation and oversight which will help eliminate a lot of the talk of rigged websites and give more validity to the online game.

Why does a pioneer country in this game like the United States have many restrictions to access online poker?
[FONT=NotoSans, Lato, arial, sans-serif]- probaly because it is a serious contry that preserves ethics and moral justice. Scheduled online games, and in the case of poker, there "money laundering" is very likely.

How far is technology beneficial for a poker player?
In the case of HUD just to take advantage of others.

Do you think that in the future we will have more laws about online games?
- I would like them to be more rigide and for online platforms to be audited more oftem.

Is there a worldwide political conspiracy against online poker?
- No. But in serious countries online poker will be restricted.

The truth is probably a bit less flattering like this. Owners of psysical casinos dont like competition from online casinos, and in top of that some people are against any kind of gambling for religious reasons. Specifically for poker there is also a widespread false perception, that its not a skill based game.

Here in the usa,it all depends on the state goverments. There has been some progress in the last year or so,but it needs to be opened up to every state. Its so stupid for it to be legal in some states but not others. Its all about politics, and the hell with what the people want.

I pray every day for the US to legalize online poker nationwide.

I hear ya but the way the politics works is not in favor of this happening nationwide. States with gambling already in place will get there soon, I think.
