Why would pokerstars variance be any different than the variance in poker experienced on any other poker site or any casino poker room or any private poker game? Variance is variance and there is no guiding principle or malevolent force making it any worse for players on one site or situation vs any other.

Variance also means that some people at some time are going to bear the brunt of a bad stretch which also means that there are going to be people at the same time reaping the rewards of variance and there is no rhyme or reason why those people are getting lucky or unlucky.

Focus on those parts of your game that you can control and the more you play the more variance will even out in the long run.

I am skeptical of RNG/ algorithms in general but I am not quite sure why anyone targets a single site as though they would potentially be the sole culprit regarding manipulation.

Perhaps I am cynical but if I honestly think a given entity within a business realm is capable of shenanigans, then I going to presume them all capable.

The same can be said about dealers in live poker, someone deals cards honestly, someone does not. Tell me what is the benefit of the poker room if I win from you? As for PokerStars, I think this is one of the most reliable poker rooms, and I feel comfortable playing in those rooms where you are treated as a player and not a money bag. Having tried many poker rooms for me, the top 3 are: PokerStars, party poker and 888 Poker.

Something I feel you have to accept with online poker (whether it's an issue or not), it does make me prefer poker in person though.
