Is it even possible to select tables? I have at least noticed at pokerstars that you can only randomly participate in Sit&Gos.

When I'm going to select a table to play, I usually see if it has many regulars players (I usually take notes of the players). I also don't like to play when the majority of players have the minimum amount of chips.

When entering a regular cash table, we should consider which tables to choose. Since you can't play many simultaneous tables as if it were ante, but what factors will we take into account. Everything indicates that this is not important, but depending on whether you are recreational or professional, everything indicates if you want to have a good time, it doesn't matter these data, but if your goal is to win money, I think that the time to choose tables is mainly based on the number of hands played per hour. What do you think there are other factors I would like a comment
hop on the table play tight if unknowns just enough hands to keep afloat and watch opponents look for patterns and what people are showing down vs certain sizes and stationing too or just how often opening estimating it 3betting etc floating to river blah blah.
then if see an obvious bleeder or someone where fat edge can be made had on them in areas sit and stay, if dont or the gaps or things you see that can attack are marginal mostly bar the area your found out they bleed heavy, then get off as sitting waiting to see that or where that is is stupid, focus on playing with maniacs and aggtards (aggtard i am myself) and massive passive stations that care nothing about bet size and snap you with really weak hands too too often rivers.

but yh sit and find out if looks dead or meh get off target major bleeders cause we all have to pay alot of rake to the house lot comes off the table from each players stack per hr or whatever, even if have edge on regs its still not worth it unless your playing high, as it just ups volatility increases bankroll needed too pushing even smaller edges more breakeven bluffs heros etc, just look for bleeder and focus all the attention on them preferably 2 or more bleeders.
cause other thing is tilt and depending how bad you tilt even if have edge or regs playing your game if you tilt too frequently or monkey tilt its bye bye edge and you become fish or breakeven vs them.

simple answer focus on fish cause we all pay loads of ****ing rake particularly 2-50nl.

also play as many tables as can where can still think enough on each street or imagine are hudless if arent already (if i was hudless i could play 2-3 tables probably really just 2, with hud its 3-5 or 6 at push if sites slow, but depends how tight or what style of play im implementing in first place if im playing loose as possibly get away with then yh 2-3 tables tops if im playing tag or nitty least pre... then ok 4-5 is about fine).
also dont play zoom or any other fast fold format least with holdem it dont make for good game casino and sites love it though as its raketrap machine, but holdem no limit holdem specifically it zoom just really isnt good, not saying people dont win they do, but winrates will be lower i think and theres no table dynamics back and forth in the same way to play off, or patterns you spot are more wishwashy, cause gameflow aint the same.

bumhunting underrated its just kinda boring having to be strict doing so, but rake is large chunk players biggest enemy so the house is still what tryna beat ha its pushed promoted as skill game and betting against others but i really dont think people get its marginally a skill game its mainly just milk fish maniacs and gamblers have edge big enough after to rake to make playing cards for the house worth your time.

really poker players should team up more make more private games take the house out the picture hopefully but whatever, yh quality of the table matters dont want a table of regs or breakeven players as everyone just loses to rake as unlikely anyone has edge big enough to make any money after rake.

also important is ease of getting on and off tables and liquidity and speed of the deal (i use to love sky poker for that reason as had barely any timebank but the no hud and the speed of play and the forced only few bet size buttons meant i dont know and the small pool meant the games were good even if rake was more).
ipoker as example games are probably better but speed of deal and gameflow take longer to achieve so and dynamics how the site players play overall is different but getting on tables is a pain yh slow deal hands per hr so even if winrate higher rake higher too, it might similar hourly to elsewhere still, like im currently playing on pokerstars mainly as softwares good ish.... err and speed of deal got sped up i think when sky bought it or whatever or someone bought pokerstars, but yh speed of deal better think they cut timebank down bit which is a pro in my mind also table cap so table quality should be higher too and less mass table people slowing down games, and yh gameflow dynmanics eaiser to create and patterns in opponent become more obvious quicker and larger player pool global one means good liquidity so the games that run pretty much all the time theres gonna be some fish in the pools you can hunt around for.

Choosing the right table is one of the key rules of profitable poker, I think it's better to value your time and win money than to compete for hours in a game with the best players, trying not to lose.

Playing on soft tables definitely provides more value than playing on tough tables.

Also having a very good player on your left can adversely affect your win rate.

as a rule, the table does not allow everyone to choose, so choosing a table is the main thing

Tabke selection is important but doesn’t guarantee success. It will contribute to positive results but nothing is certain in poker.

Table selection can be extremely important for certain players to make money. If you are king reg it doesn't really matter what table you play at as your generating EV from the entire table, but for everyone else table selection can be the difference between bleeding and winning money.

This is probably the single most determinant of your win ratio. If you're playing 6 handed & you are the worst player on the table, and you do that a couple more times, that could be the difference between a downswing or a winning streak so your original post is very pertinent & one of the underrated aspects of the game. Pick your spots & tables.

I play tournament poker. Unfortunately, in MTT, you cannot choose which table to sit at)
The computer makes landing at the tables in automatic mode.

I think that something also depends on the table, but more depends on your professional qualities

Good morning everyone, yes choosing a table with a recreational player can guarantee you profitability.
I'm playing cash games and I went to look at my poker tracker and I saw that I'm much more profitable at regular tables, in zoom my profit is much smaller, this happens because I pay attention to the villains' showdown,
It's pretty easy to see that it's the regs and the recreational ones.
In Zoom, as you play against different villains every time, it becomes more difficult to know how to read the villains.

I always play cash games and know almost all the players who play with me all the time. I make tags and notes on the players. For example, I mark bad players with green, good players with red, and people who play very aggressively with yellow. And if I write notes, I write down how often a player bluffs against me, how often he 3-bets against my bets, and all that kind of stuff. And this all helps me a lot.

I am considering the table I am going to enter, but it doesn't stop me to ender. I just wait for the blinds to reach my position and I watch a little the game. Usually I get in almost every time, except if I see crazy bettings and bad behaviours.

I don't do much of table selection, I think it's good for the new players. With time and experience you have to play and learn to exploit all your opponents.
