Hi.

I put YES in the poll but I only play freerolls, so I guess that answer is wrong.
For now, the times that I have played cash or buy-in tournaments, I have neither won nor lost, or have lost or won little.

Thank you for being there.

Kind regards from Buenos Aires.

Yeah, in my 6 years poker "career" I played from freerolls to Sunday Million, a lot of tournaments. I made profit (I'm proud that I'm on Cardschat's big win list) but what is more important: I enjoyed it, cos playing poker is big fun. ;)

Yes, because I never deposit, but I win from freerolls and free tickets. I even qualified for a 1300 USD tournament for free.

Its quite unlikly, people will reply to that poll, unless they are winning. Since there is rake, most players must per definition be losing, but few wants to admit it ;)

I often get prizes when I play freerolls, but then I lose them on micro-limits, poker is just a hobby for me.

Plus on tournaments
Tilts and minus in cash always.

You have to play tournaments or cash. For me both don't work. I would always win great amount on tournaments, go sleep happy. Then play cash and make errors as it's different skill set then tilt and bet on David Ferrer then 0... so winning 500 eur was 8h or more lost to gamble in 1h next day.
And so on... now I blocked myself from cash games and sports let's see... I have never specialised in focused on 1 thing with my bankroll.

You can profit with focus at 1 thing at a time... and a goal. Putting money to try cash then tournaments then Omaha its expensive.... in short or long run.

You can profit if you know what you want a d what you seek and if you have a skillset.

I'm losing on sportsbetting.ag. The rake is ~13% on their S&Gs.They wouldn't disclose the rake on their cash games. I asked other players but they never responded.
I'm now searching for a more friendly poker site that allows US players. Someone have suggestions?

ACR have SnGs, and the rake is only 10%. Its also one of the largest if not the largest "US friendly" site.

I know about ACR. I'm looking for some decent alternatives.

I am only making a small profit thanks to the freerolls. Without freerolls, I would have given up playing poker long ago. I don't want to spend my money on poker.

How could 90% of people turn a profit playing poker? Where is the money coming from?

As others, I only played free rolls since joining the CC Free Roll Club (a decision I made and stuck to a few months into membership) and then only use tickets I have also won.

On the two sites where I play the most, the bankroll is healthy and then I now also have three modest but increasing BRs on three other sites.

I think it takes a mindset to do this for sure, but as someone else alluded to it is about beating the system. That's where I get the motivation.

And by the by, if only in building mode then there is no need for a withdrawal which I have never made.

90% poker players lose sure. I guess in freerols, supermicro limits there is big group of players who win because of any bonuses.

Money are coming from production and trade.
What you falsely believe and call as "profit in poker" in the real world is called "winnings".
While you're taking poker on some serious level and falsely believe that it's something like playing at the stock market, in the real world you're gambling - playing with luck.

Poker table is 9 clowns riding rented 2 wheel bicycle and playing pick pocketing championship at the same time. Some will fall, one will win, clowns will change, but the real winner is the owner of the bicycle.

Poker does not produce any useful product for the society, you could save lives being a surgeon or build buildings instead and see some real value of your lifetime, which is not endless.

I play for fun. I think you need to dedicate many hours playing every day in order to become profitable. I just do not have that much time at my disposal.

You can, depends

If you run a club in one of those Apps like pppoker, x-poker then yes, specially in the latter if you get tons of players who wish to play in ur club then u can win a lot but as a normal player who belongs to other clubs not so much compared to it

Yes, ofc I do. I love the poker game but not that much that I would keep playing after I reazile it's not profitable for me anymore. As long as I win more than I lose I will play online.

I have never had a losing year yet playing poker---so I am just like Doyle Brunson--
I make very small and minute amounts of money--to distinguish myself from Doyle
