Do you turn on 4 coloured decks when playing online? Why or why not?

I was sceptical at first but it was such a great invention! It is way easier to recognise flushes and draws, especially when you are multitabling or playing PLO :)

I'm usually a conservative person but open to new things so I'll try to see how it is, give it a try! :)

Even my eyes working great, it took me way too much time to see not only the flush-possibilities but the blockers as well in one whole picture. When I changed to four-coloured, I'm two steps ahead of the past me, and have more time to think the parties itself. Its definitely one of the most important option for me on poker tables. Multi-tableing only working with this too. :)

I don’t like it because it’s not realistic, they don’t use it at live tournaments, but I think everyone in their hearts wants to get to a live tournament with professional players, you can also understand those people who have vision problems, I think it was invented for this

I just turned on four coloured deck for the first time tonight. I think I liked it. It was easier to quickly spot flushes. My worry is that if I get too used to it I won’t be as sharp during live play.
Notayoungman, hello! I don't see the point in a four-color deck. I do not know why you would do that. Firstly, the closer the cards are to the real ones, the easier it is: you don't have to rebuild when you sit down to play poker at a real table after a long online game. Secondly, it will be difficult for you to play because your eyes will become more strained - even if you don't realize it, over time it will affect your vision.

I cannot use 4 colour deck as I am colour blind. I can only tell the 2 red suits or 2 black suits from each other by symbol and 4 colour deck just makes this a little bit harder.

I play with a classic deck, I tried a four-color deck, but I didn't like it.

I ve always liked the normal deck , especially when I began playing poker . But some mistakes when I was tired , in flushes , sometimes in recognising the value of the cards , made me start using the 4 colour deck . Since then no problem with the flushes , less beautifull but usefull the 4 colour deck without drawings/faces/symbols .

Since then the only problem is the 4A , rarely when I am tired I think it's 2 Aces , lol

when i play only one table to two table, i usually play with the classic color. but if I'm playing more than 2 table, i use the 4 color decks, I make less mistake that way :)

I understand why people like the four colored deck. It likely helps if you have a lot of tables up at the same time.

always. it is very convenient for me, + I like blue and green. It is much more convenient to understand when you got a flush

We have the same problem. Adding two more colours increases our challenge with observation of the cards.

a 4 colored deck helps me differentiate suits better when I'm multitabling, it gets messy if you have 10 tables running in a 2 colored deck

I’ve played with the 4 Colour and didn’t really like it, I don’t mind having to look for “flushes” as that’s just what im used to and casinos are 2 colour so there’s also that

Well in online poker you're sorta expected to play on several tables, so it's more likely for people to misread their hands in a rush. Therefore I think it's pretty common to use a four-colour deck online. I do use it, and I never play without this option turned on. In live poker you see only one board and for a such looong period of time, you should be drunk to mix up the suits, imo :D

Anything that facilitates the recognition of the cards and buys you more time is welcome, more time to think about the hand itself other then if it is a club ou spade / a heart or diamond...

My worry is that if I get too used to it I won’t be as sharp during live play.

That is exactly the concern. It totally does make things easier to spot suit wise, but until all casino's and such only deal out with 4 color decks, i've got to stick with standard decks. I'm getting old and i'm aware i'd end up making a mistake in live play after getting used to playing online with 4 colors.

Good question. Yes I always do, for me it helps me differentiate a flush draw. Makes a mistake less likely to happen.
