Here is my problem and I'm sure others can relate to it.
It is all shits and giggles until a Walrus turns up. Now, I do not even notice most avatars as I focus on every other thing but a walrus is where I draw the line.
I mean, and I may repeat myself, but dare play against this:
Lol, I have never thought about players avatar as a skill factor. I look at their playstyle and thats it. Nickname or avatar doesn't make difference, only if it's player I have played with before then I know his game and recognize him by nickname. Sometimes avatar gives a little something if it's poker school logo, but in my experience even there are fishes
ahahahah, what information can the opponent's avatar give us?) we need to look at his playing style and statistics, but the avatar is of little use to us
I don't think so, but for example on pokerstars I have no avatar because I want players to be less likely to remember my play. When I see a distinguishable avatar and then see it again later, I remember that player
I think it has more meaning for me than for other players. I like symbols and animals, sometimes I put avatar that remind me about something that I want remember at the time. For examle to remember to be more flexible and unpredictible i put a dragonfly as my avatar. Its is infomration for me not for others.
