Hi everyone, I recently cleaned the computer and found some viruses and I have noticed strange things too.
I'm no millionaire player to be targeted by hackers but ...
I would like to know your experience in relation to this.
Has anyone been the target of hackers here?
Is there a way to access your poker folder data? I have also read some articles about attackers taking srceen prints from your screen and receiving them by email. Has anyone here been through something like this?

I would also like to know opinions related to the subject involving huds, is it safe to use hud?

These are all rumors because it is easier for a hacker to deal with credit card fraud than with poker rooms. As for the HUD, it is a hint tool for analyzing your game. It is too risky for a hacker to fight a poker room that can cause a lot of problems.

An average individual is hardly ever a chosen target for a hacker, but that doesn't mean that any of us couldn't easily become a victim of a cybercrime.

Finding computers online that are not protected is relatively easy process even for 'script kiddies', so one must be prepared against online threats at all times. Firewall and a good antivirus are a must.

So when you ask 'Is it safe to use a hud?' you are asking the wrong question. HUDs by themselves are not the problem (at least the two big ones), but an unprotected computer that might allow some sneaky virus to come on board and possibly copy/lock your files, etc. which will lead to other problems - that is the problem.

Let's say that someone whips up a small WordPress website that no-one even knows that it exits. You may not get many generic visitors on that site, but if you look at the log files you can see that every day, multiple times a day, someone tries to access files that they are not supposed to and hack your site. That's how easy it is to become a target.

Yes thanks!
Good thing I know a little about computing and I know how to remove viruses and also how to configure the computer. I'll stay tuned. Thanks!

I was hacked last year on party poker, probably they didn’t hacked my computer, I think my password was leaked somewhere and I did made the mistake to use the same passwords in a couple of sites. At least I didn’t had much money at the time because the hacker spent all the money on the casino. I learned my lesson and I immediately changed all my passwords of every site and added the 2-step verification in the poker rooms that offer this option. But still if one day I win a very good prize in poker, I would cash out a big part of it in the same day.
