Don't can't cheat. Must be an online poker employee.

700 posts and players can't and don't cheat. This means there is no possible way we could play at the same table, communicate our cards, and have an advantage.

It's impossible.

They can't do it. Oh, you're at that table? No possible way to know that. I'm still in a cave and had someone write this for me, because there is no way for me to communicate with you.

Yes it happens, always has and always will. That is why I like groups like CC. They make it more likely that I am not playing with cheaters.

We can never know the truth 100% whether there is fraud at the poker tables. It is not profitable for a poker site to divulge the truth about the presence of bots at the tables. The site certainly fights these bots. I personally have little faith in cheating at tournaments. At cash tables this is possible.

If we talk about cheating a poker site, I think it is impossible at the cash table? Why 2-3 do not agree

I certainly think, you have a point. I am also not really worried about people cheating in micro stakes games or even low stakes. But when you get into mid stakes, there is a lot more financial incentive to try and get away with collusion, multi accounting or using AI software during play. This is a real issue and the main reason, why the future of online mid-high stakes cash games is questionable.

Having read the fundiver 199's post above , I want to say that some (not few) online high stakes players were actually caught by some players at the same stakes with the support of online poker communities , cheating using collussion , multiaccounting , having some not probable God runs and profits (using AI or anything else ) etc . So this is not an improbability . Also the use of AI programmes that give an advantage for GTO advanced decisions , bots that some players use in some sites , give the user sometimes an advantage that can't be addressed properly . Although , if you play your Agame , better if it's a multi tabling tournament , you have better odds playing against these scammers , some (not advanced maybe ) bots also play in a ridiculusly predicted way on the long run (size of bets , overbetting , particular tedencies ) so you are able to idntify them and ask the site to ban them

It's better to play in a well known poker room , either live or online . Cheating can happen everywhere either it's online or live poker .
Also cheating takes place everywhere in our everyday life imo , so no reason to doubt if there is cheating or not .
Online sites are able to do more , but I don't see in many occassions determination to do so . This puzzles me , the reasons behind this lack of will to solve it at a great grade . Some sites use programmes while you play to determine the use of forbidden software , what is allowed and what not , why not forbid every programme running at the same time with poker software to solve this problem , at least for most cheaters , not a solution most regs would like though ;) . Although I have to say that I have read of other solutions using another pc than the one you actually play , also cheaters will always find a way to go on cheating , the evolution of everyone's arsenal , sites's/pokerrooms' or cheaters' , is ongoing , neverending .

Hi.

I suppose that in general the only possible trap is collusion, but I imagine that it would only be possible in a sit and go table, in cash, or in any single table game in which two or more players agree to play "team up".
Anyway I suppose that the rooms will have their resources to monitor and end situations like this (I suspect it once happened to me but being a rookie my opinion may not be qualified because maybe it was just paranoia and anger).
I don't think any other kind of trap is possible.

Best regards from Buenos Aires.

Hi mate.Unfortunately, cheating ,collusion and bots are part of present online poker..That´s why serious poker sites has strict rules against them, including, of course, the risk of losing your account and your bankroll..

Except that when you apply your logic to the original post. Then it would be worrying about getting hit by lightingin during a thunderstorm... while being outside, and holidng an umbrella.

Having fear of cheating in the online poker world, is fair, espceially when you have no clue who or what is infront of the other side of the monitor. There have been online poker superusers who've abuse their powers to win tournaments, fortunately they were too stupid and greedy and got caught.

Such is the case of POTRIPPER, who won his tournament by calling with (
)

But if the guy was more cautious, and played more "normal" then maybe he could still be doing harm today.

Maybe there are Superusers in pokerstars that settle for 2nd, 3rd or 4th place, just to not rise suspicions.

Even live poker has seen cheating players, such as Mike Postle.

We must not forget that currently the most important rooms put great efforts to maintain security and integrity at their tables, from hiring “Security Equipment” to having a series of regulations for the use of “third party software”, as well as updates software constants that allow greater security and control.

All these actions in order to win and maintain the confidence of their players.

With mobile phones and Apps that you can use to message with, its easy to create a group at a single cash table. Technically you could have numerous phones and computers involved and be running them all yourself, no need for partners. I only play micro cash tables, less to lose and chances are the cheaters aren't interested in your pennies.

I've seen it in tournaments with 3 players clearly chip dumping to each other on the approach to the bubble. Sometimes when there are 2 or 3 tables they even announce their intention in chat to target the short stack and fold to each other. I've sent screenshots of this and no action was taken. Some sites have an agenda especially when they are targeting expansion in a new market.

i I was playing at poker stars quite a lot one day my account had quit a bit more money in it. come to find out they had caught some players cheating, in a ring game i was in. they were barred from the sight and i was reimbursed all the money i had lost. yes you can be cheated but they closely monitor this. i think they call it collusion.

There are cheaters in all games, everywhere in most cases. You just don't know about it yet.

the odds of playing with such a bot / cheater is really really low, so I would not worry about it.

If you run stats, notes, you may find that such a certain player may have stats that don't make a lot of sense, then you can use that to your advantage and either move tables, or play appropriately against that player.

You'll have cheaters at a local casino / poker table just as likely as an online table.

that should not deter you from playing and learning and getting better. Let them take advantage of a weaker player and not you.

Really hard to distinguish cheat or not, but u find someone always win after river or all-in preflop, that must be something wrong.

This is pretty much the obvious giveaway and if you're seeing this and thinking they are just sun-running, you are deluding yourself.

I'm not sure exactly how that works but I have had three players respond and say where they are from.. doesn't seem to be any particular country, but some just get labeled with 888 for some reason. Probably not bot accounts. If you're worried about house bots, think why would a site identify their own house bots with a label for you. They wouldn't.
