Having read the fundiver 199's post above , I want to say that some (not few) online high stakes players were actually caught by some players at the same stakes with the support of online poker communities , cheating using collussion , multiaccounting , having some not probable God runs and profits (using AI or anything else ) etc . So this is not an improbability . Also the use of AI programmes that give an advantage for GTO advanced decisions , bots that some players use in some sites , give the user sometimes an advantage that can't be addressed properly . Although , if you play your Agame , better if it's a multi tabling tournament , you have better
odds playing against these scammers , some (not advanced maybe ) bots also play in a ridiculusly predicted way on the long run (size of bets , overbetting , particular tedencies ) so you are able to idntify them and ask the site to ban them
It's better to play in a well known poker room , either live or online . Cheating can happen everywhere either it's online or live poker .
Also cheating takes place everywhere in our everyday life imo , so no reason to doubt if there is cheating or not .
Online sites are able to do more , but I don't see in many occassions determination to do so . This puzzles me , the reasons behind this lack of will to solve it at a great grade . Some sites use programmes while you play to determine the use of forbidden software , what is allowed and what not , why not forbid every programme running at the same time with poker software to solve this problem , at least for most cheaters , not a solution most regs would like though
. Although I have to say that I have read of other solutions using another pc than the one you actually play , also cheaters will always find a way to go on cheating , the evolution of everyone's arsenal , sites's/pokerrooms' or cheaters' , is ongoing , neverending .
