I keep seeing people go All In on flush draws. Or call huge bets.

Isn't it only around 20-35% chance of it coming?

Depends, you pay up to showdown, there if you have a big card raise.

I meant the chances of hitting the flush. The bets and calls often don't justify it.

I usually check. Haha. If I hit the flush I will bet 20%.

There are a LOT of flush chasers out there. I always make a note of who they are, especially when they do it with any two suited.

Sometimes I am way too aggressive on a flush draw. Other times I check or fold.

In my opinion, in general you're right. Anytime I have a decent hand (and you really need to know your odds relative to what the board is presenting) and I think there's a flush chaser there, I try to make the biggest possible raise that will still keep them in the game and if they go over the top I like that more. If you play the flip'n go's on GG you'll get an idea of the variance and who will chase a flush vs making a hand.

I guess it's down to the mood. I know if I'm patient and fold, my hand WILL come. And I win and double my earnings.

It's down to boredom. Especially when drinking.

Depends on my chipstack and my villans chipstack. If I aleady have a made hand and can improve it with a flush draw is another big factor for me.

If I have two chances to hit my flush I may go for it.

If the pot odds are correct then you can enter all-in with it.
Whether someone goes all-in with him can be situation dependent. You need some info from the other side to add that you are bluffing or easily releasing your hand.
So a lot depends on whether it’s the right decision to go all-in with a flush draw.

You are right it is a little better than a third so using that info and common sense I would rarely go all in unless my stack was huge or the opp was a crazy, normally I keep my betting as close to the actual odds of catching as I can...i.e. with 35% chance I would have to be getting better than 3 to 1 to call.:):):)

If you re unsure what to do, minimum bets can be your friend to get a feel of the table, and see who might have hit a hand, not to mention you can peel a flop card cheaply.

LET ME EXPLAIN in lamens tems...hi btw my names Jett

Fold equity is your opponents "odds" that he/she will fold to your bet
So if your opponent had a mediocre hand and bet out at you on the flop
you could potentially reraise and steal the pot.
Thats what we call fold equity
The flush draw is the backup oh shit it didn't work plz jesus club me!!!

You should never call unless pot odds imply for you to do so
And never raise with your draw to an opponent that has a hand and is not going to fold.
people play them incorrectly
You are correct flush draws suck.
Bluffing is awesome and when bluffing fails having a draw that can scoop a straight or a set...... is pretty sweet

When I have a flush draw, I tend to try and keep the bets low - hoping people check it around to me. If somebody does bet, then it's simply odds to know whether to call or not.

But like I say, I see people call huge bets and even go all in !

Yes, I would not particularly risk such a hand when I have a big stack, but if the stack is low I would risk paying anything with a flush draw.

With such small chances (20-35%) I don't go all-in for a draw. So they sat down at me immediately with a draw on a flush and a draw on a straight (two draws at once), then there are much more chances to win the table.
