For US players it is definitely harder. But, let's get something straight about who was responsible for Black Friday. It was not Bush, it was Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist that you can thank for that.

The actual bill that Bush signed was the SAFE Port Act and was designed to strengthen homeland security in a post-911 era. The bill was considered a "must sign" enactment and Frist amended it with the unrelated UIGEA section at the last moment and right before Congress was to adjourn for the season. It was a sneaky, well-planned, and devious move on Frist's part.

I consistently win online every month and it helps me to pay the bills yes.

yeah, most definitely. I used to play every day when I was in my early 20s and made most of my income playing poker.

poker live still adds good amount to to my monthly income and use to play alot before all this pre black friday stuff years ago now i just flop around online lose few bucks here and their can't take it as serious it seems when can't run 16 tables or so at a time and fill quickly as i greatly preferred sit and go's online

Yes. I pay the electric bill to keep my computer running to play poker. Kind of a zero sum game here.

Poker - no. slots - yes. Go figure.

But then I only play slots with the free money that my local casino (which also has an online arm) gives me. They give it to me to encourage me to continue playing after I burn through the "free" money, which I don't do. That's a net gain for me in the order of hundreds of dollars.

I bought a vehicle once before off of winnings. However, this was done playing live 14 hours on a $100 buyin on a $1/$2 NL table. I just walked out with just over $10,000 that night.

That was my plan when I started playing again, but it seems I can only cash in CC games. Like 2 years ago , i was at least able to make a few hundred every few months (as Im not a multitabler) but damn now even cashing is a feat. The fact that Im not really gettting it bad most of times is adding to my frustration but oh well CC is keeping me afloat on 2 sites and as long as I got funds I will keep playing, but I have also decided, I will never deposit on any site again cuase personally I think they have changed %s like 70/30 are now really 50/50 or even 40/60 in the villan favor, so that 70/30 you got it good on is really now getting it in bad cause its 40/60 but anyways, ....
