I was sitting in a live game the other week. I bet $27 preflop and the next guy to act prematurely put in $2. He said woah, I didn't see the $27 preflop bet, took his $2 back and folded. I said wait, he called by putting $2 out there. He just needs $25 more. Floor got called over and the call went in his favor. He said "nice try bub." I replied, "hey, there's no need to call me bub." He said, "I just did." I replied, "yeah, but you don't have to." He presumed to shut up. Otherwise, there may have been an altercation.

I did not see wild things, while playing live tournaments, but I heard about such things on TV. The wildest one was done by Antonio Esfandiari, who was peeing under the table during the game. It is a bit difficult to understand.

Drunk guy got schooled by young female in a live game at a casino. He got PO'ed and called her all kinds of names and then said he was going to wait for her in the parking lot. A couple hours later she goes to leave and security informs her he is in the parking lot and she would need them to escort her to her car. His dumbazz ended up going to jail.

While sitting in a tournament I am facing the table in question. So, I'm not really paying attention to what is going on at that table but....

Nearing the end of Day 1A (super long day) and the floor is projecting that we have approximately 30-45 minutes left until bagging.

I see a hand progress at this particular table - 3 players preflop. Angry words are exchanged (which probably is what caught my attention). And, after showing AA on the river the elderly man in the 1 seat is pushed a massive pot. Truly a mountain of chips.

The 1 seat starts scooping the chips and then slumps over this massive pile. The other player that was in the hand with him on the river and that had exchanged some words hops up and runs over to the 1 seat.

I'm thinking oh boy....this is gonna get into a physical brawl. This all happened so fast that I really wasn't positive what was going on.

The player grabs the elderly man and he props him up in the seat. I'm thinking what is this? And the elderly player's face turns grey.

The floor pauses the clock and rushes over and a doctor and a nurse (2 tournament players - is there a doctor in the house?) are on the elderly man's chest after laying him on the floor. The player next to me asks, "Is that guy even a doctor?" and I inform him that "Yes, he's a baby doctor but still a doctor....LOL".

Paramedics are there in 4 minutes with a stretcher. The elderly player is revived and encouraged to lay on the stretcher and that they are taking him to the hospital.

He says, "F%$& that" and insists on walking out. And so they escort him to the ambulance.

The next day his wife calls and asks the tournament director if there is any way to refund the tournament entry fee. The director offers to refund the money. Never heard of this before but I guess it's better than saying "No" and the player dies in the hospital and you wouldn't refund him. LOL

But again the elderly player says, "F%$& that!". And I guess the wife was concerned with upsetting her husband who just survived a heart attack.

Long story short.....he shows up for Day 2 and frickin cashes !

Hard to make this much stuff up !
Reality is so much better than fiction.

Good luck !

The elderly man having a medical emergency on day 1, coming back to day 2 to cash is insane! Tops em all for me so far lol.

Playing 1/2 cash live in a casino, its about 1 or 2 am and a young asian fellow at the next table over starts getting loud with the dealer and a player during a hand. He had been loud at random points throughout the night - i suspect he was drinking but do not know for sure.

Anyhow, he becomes quickly belligerent and starts cussing everyone at his table especially his dealer once his hand is over. The floor is called over and he gets worse, stands up, flips his chair over and gets in the face of the floor manager - very very quickly - within 5 or 10 mins - the local cops show up.

The guy sees the sherif walking towards him and goes nuts - starts cussing the cops and waving his hands around, shoves the floor manager and the cops get over to him quickly. He yells and screams at them for a few seconds, turns to yell again at the floor man - when he turns away an officer attempts to grab his wrist, he spins around - slaps the mans hand off of his wrist and proceeds to point at and stick his fingure in the officers face telling him never to put his hands on him again, and many other things i couldnt understand - the officer stands there calm as can be, both hands on his hips - as soon as the small asian guy turns away from them the officer quickly snatches him one arm under his and the other over the guys opposite shoulder - clasps his hands together and slams the holy crap out of the little guy.

The way this guy was acting, there was no other place for him to go other than jail

Should have been arrested - not just "banned".

Also an OSHA reportable incident. Violence in the workplace is a bigger and bigger
issue these days.

This is not just poor etiquette. Things like this can escalate.

I would not take this abuse as a dealer. When would it stop? And not that the dealer should respond in kind but rather the avenues mentioned above.

On the lighter side - I have opened my mouth on occasion and explained that
the player that just threw his cards and stormed off is not really "angry" he's just
Greek.

He argued at 50,000 that he would not go to the toilet all day long

In Las Vegas prob 2013? at Orleans Casino, that douchebag talking smack and bullies people who has low stakes game. He has arguing bout the dealer. The Dealer accidentally for my dad. My dad has KK preflop.
Now that is a problem, my dad said "I didnt check or bet."
The dealer and Pitboss are working out and said "I'm so sorry." not sure but the bully said blah blah blah
My dad said "How about you shut the hell up. You know what? You are a bully. (My dad is 6'7" and the bully is maybe 5'10"). I'm done, lets go Joe (my name)."

and the big pitboss and my dad are conversations. that is it.
