I just returned to the site, so I apologize if this has been posted before.

I learned recently of all the poker rooms that closed in Vegas...past couple of years or so. Are there any good recommendations about where to go in Vegas to play? Looking mostly for lower stakes....$1/$2 or $2/$5. Also, the variations....Omaha and 7-Stud in particular.

I'll also take suggestions about rooms in other parts of the USA.

Thanks all!

Pretty much the places to be are Aria, Venetian, Wynn, Bellagio, Caesars, and Orleans. As far as comparative ratings of the field, the types of games, etc., I will leave that to others.

I came across this link,

https://vegasadvantage.com/flamingo-poker-room-becomes-39th-las-vegas-one-to-close-since-2012/

There is an awesome video by Johnathan Little explaining how/why the poker rooms are closing, but I can't seem to find it now (I am just not searching right).

I am just a daily game tournament player, I really wish rooms would stop closing.

The best places will always have poker.:)

Hey, thanks! Yeah, I know casino's all over don't make a ton of money on poker. I'd hate to see it go away. Maybe once the COVID situation improves some of these sites will begin to reopen their rooms.

The Bellagio has a great atmosphere, and you'll spot lots of the top pros there. I found it interesting that a dealer who has dealt cards to me at a $1-3 table, is one of the dealers on WPT on TV...makes me feel special...this dealer has dealt cards to me and the best poker players in the world...does that make me a top player by osmosis?
