Traveled 2700 miles to play poker but is going to the world series of poker count as just playing poker. It was a great experience but its Vegas.

Realistically traveling has its good and bad points. the one trip I was in a monster hand 1st level. I had the 2nd nuts and seriously thought about folding it. Why? traveled 4 hours to play and was worried I was about to go out in less than 10 minutes time.

California and Vegas are about as far as I have gone to play poker. I have always wanted to play in the Aussies Millions, maybe someday.

I’m debating on traveling to Cancun to play pokerstars just to check it out, but only as a side step to a real vacation.
And yeah, I’m not about to go to the east coast just to check out a regulated poker site lol

If I get a good system going, I’ll travel to Vegas more frequently to play live tournaments, but it’s going to be on a tight budget and would probably be every three months (at best), unless I have a nice upswing while playing ...which is doubtful, and even then that is a mirage because upswings in tournament poker are just variance IMO.

Takes time to figure out a good plan in all reality. I am just glad Vegas round trip flights are cheap from ATX, gives me options to think about at least to play.

No? But i still assume it'd be intresting to see cardchat teaming up with some poker room in some way that they could send (atleast) one cardchatter to their LIVE-event (so in that case this lucky winner would be able to travel long distance to play poker) ...

Yes, from Germany to London, when I won a package for the 888 Live Event in a freeroll. And before I was playing smaller MTTs
in a local casino near London, when I was on vacation there.
In future, I would love to travel to Barcelona to play there. I think it is a nice combination to travel somewhere and play there.

Unfortunately, or maybe, and by happiness, I haven't any experience travel, linking with Poker...
In the present time I prefer online poker: because this is less wasting the money and more securely, by my opinion...

The stories you can have on those "trips" make playing live so much more interesting than online.

Yes to play Side Events of the EPT in Prague few years back.
But I can hardly call that a journey. Prague is just a stone's throw away from Vienna where I live 😁

I travel every day to participate in my favorite tournaments. The routes are almost always the same, I travel from the store to home :)

Haha, I've never traveled a long distance for poker, but I did it for love. At 20 years I had a long-distance relationship with a girl. She was from Santorini, Greece. During my autumn holiday, I surprised her and flew to Greece.
Thats brilliant, I have lived in 6 countries 3 of them because I was chasing a girl

If I had free time, namely, if I didn't have a job I couldn't refuse, I think I would travel to play live poker.

Never traveled to a place only to play poker, but because in my country there aren't many options to play live poker. Also because I don't have much experience in live poker, so, I play mostly online poker.

I don't know, maybe for some people poker is everything in this life, but in my personal opinion, traveling and seeing the whole world is one of the best activities, and maybe the best thing that we can afford.
