This is a discussion on Should I Play Poker at the Casino? within the online poker forums, in the Live Poker section; I was just thinking if I should go try playing at the casino when I play I know I can get to the final table
Over one Multi-table tournament any number of things against expected value calculations can occur. To the experienced poker player this is called variance, to the newcomer this is called luck (although most beginners in poker call everything luck so take that with a pinch of salt).
Unlike cash game (AKA ring game) grinding, tournament grinding requires you to get much luckier later on in a session than early on and therefore is far less consistent and fair in the profit it gives a skilled player.
I highly recommend being a cash game grinder, even live, as it's a much healthier way of making a true living from poker whereas tournament poker should only be recreational, never professional in my opinion. The anxiety involved with a tournament grinder's lifestyle is too much to enjoy life no matter how much money you make. High blood pressure can often be linked to this lifestyle.
tilt moment is the most danger moment in which u can stay.. if u get more than 2 o3 hours to do a big stack, u can loss your income in two hands, first for bad beating, another one for till.. TAKE A BREATH, A BAD BEAT ONLY IS THAT!
You should deffinitely go to a casino and play. You should see how it looks when everything is tidy, also, you will feel more excitement while playing in casino. Also, I would suggest to play tournaments first in a casino, and only after some time start with cashgames!
