Once a gypsy woman came up to me and asked for money, I gave her 20 UAH. She thanked and asked for a hand to wait as a token of gratitude and said: "Lost love like playing cards." I understand that this is a rather abstract fortune-telling, but at that time I broke up with my girlfriend for a couple of months and was just starting to play poker at a local club. strange, but I still had feelings for that girl and for all the time I didn’t love anyone else.

I used to get really upset when I lost. Until I learned to treat everything with a smile. It really helps.

It was the first time I had played in a casino, the first thing I made was the mistake of holding my cards in my hands and not leaving them on the table. And after the friendly people had explained to me at the table that I should leave them on the table, I did that, of course. I thought it was pretty dark and I couldn't really see my cards correctly and then played at least one hand completely wrong because I thought I had something else in my hand. I was ashamed and just thought how could I be so blind and stupid. The fact that I had lost wasn't the problem for me something like that happened, but this was something that annoyed me for a few days.

Me and 2 of my friends qualified for a national poker championship. While this might not be about the game poker, but that was the reason we were there. During the 5 minute break. My friend went to play a slot machine & he hit the jackpot £2500, he was very excited. We all went back to our tables, once the day 1 ended. I went to look for my friends, the one that won the money, was found outside the casino lying in a puddle of his own tears. He intentionally knocked himself out the poker tourney to continue gambling with his winnings, of course he lost it all, plus everything else he had. That was really sad.

I only play online. Of course, sometimes there are bad days, but nevertheless, I never get sad. I just know that if I am patient enough, I will be able to generate income in the long run.

I also just play online. My most bad memories consist of holding aces and all the loose player strangely fold. In these situation I think, the game is rigged, but it is probably just observation bias.

I was doing pretty well in a local pub game a good number of years ago. I had KK, and lost the hand, I still had some chips tho, enough to mount a comeback, I got dealt AA next hand, I shoved and got called by the same player and lost again.

I don't think I will ever forget this situation!
I am now over it, many years later, and its more of a comedy story than the crushing defeat it was at the time!
