I’m sure I am crossing the line, but seriously, the smoke is outrageous in Las Vegas to play poker, I get it..the casinos need to make money, and that is catering to the crowd to do whatever ya like (including smoking) but there is a huge difference between playing poker in a smoke-fee environment for hours and one that is overwhelmed with smoke…so do you just breathe in smoke in Vegas to play poker? I am sure there are card rooms in Vegas that have found a way to limit smoke exposure (I haven’t played at all the places yet, so I’m sure there are nicer, less smoke filled places), but I’m just done playing in Vegas until the smoke situation isn’t an issue anymore (or until I’m convinced that the breathing in smoke isn’t so overwhelming at the location that has smoking (as all casinos do..)

This is from a perspective of being around a smoking ban in public places since 2000…perhaps I’m just not used to it?

As a side funny thought, I talked with someone at the airport that frequents Austin, and said that the energy saver lighting turning off the lights was confusing and didn't understand the concept initially. Quote was. "Las Vegas doesn't give a shit about electricity, what is this energy saving automation..." hahahha I am not making fun of it, just love the perspective!

Perhaps people in Central Texas are a little too...particular about resources...environment or whatever?

Personally that is good news for my trip. :) I do understand your feelings about it, and to be honest playing live poker and work do help me to cut down. :)

Yes, they make money on it because if they banned smoking, players would have to leave the table, which would interfere with the game and there would be fewer offline poker players as many people smoke
