New Casino in Norfolk, VA Coming

Virginia Beach and Norfolk could be getting even more crowded in the summer in a few years. Anyone think it'll be worth going?

Wow really? This caught my attention, I stay in that area (Portsmouth) that would be interesting. I can see it being a hit or miss depends on certain things because I was born and raised in the Hampton Roads area and they tend to do things halfway sometimes. I hope for the best though!! Are you from the area and what do you do think about it?

Been living here for five years. I agree about doing things halfway sometimes. Hopefully they focus on customer experience. They have a big opportunity here.

Agreed, if they focus on the customer experience then it will be a huge opportunity for the area and can lead to much bigger things down the line!

Update to the Casino's planned for Virginia. Living in Virginia Beach, we're going to have (2) pretty much right next to each other and then a third less than 2 hours away. I'm glad we're be getting a casino, I'm just afraid that we're getting too many to close together. I wish that only (1) would have been approved in the tidewater areas for either Norfolk or Portsmouth, but not both.

I reviewed the Rivers Casino Portsmouth a few months ago here. I enjoyed it and have already been back a few times.
