No doubt when a dealer makes a mistake at the table it is frustrating for those directly involved. But I am sorry, I find the never ending whinge about dealers at the WSOP that arises year in and out tiresome.
Each year players expect the industry to magic out of thin air enough competent dealers to service the WSOP, no matter how large the event becomes. This means, as most competent dealers are employed full time across the nation, the WSOP inevitably has to draught in independent and even part time dealers to cope with demand. They have a lead time of approximately six months to hire some 1,200 dealers. Not an easy task, especially this year with many dealers no doubt having Covid concerns.
Anyone playing the WSOP should be able to grasp this.
