Did anybody catch the video clip on this scrummage? I'm not sure exactly what happened but poker can definitely bring out the worse in a person. Now I've never gone to starting a fight at a poker tournament, had a handful of arguments on poor play, but fighting is just acceptable. Take your whooping like the rest of us and go on to the next hand. If your always getting whooped, play a different game otherwise we will feast on you.

So....guy in the beginning is yelling about something and raising his arms.

He is led back to his 4-8 limit table to collect his chips because he has been invited to leave for disrupting the room.

He is being escorted to the cage to cash his chips in - still yelling.....and some other player from some other table decides to jump the original guy and take him down…..chips fly everywhere and security is trying to pull the guys apart.

It doesn't seem to be the "fight" you would expect. It is sort of odd.

The original guy didn't seem to be threatening anyone physically from what can be seen.

To me it was unnecessary to jump the original guy - he was upset - he was yelling - but he was racked-up and on his way out the door flanked by security.

Now that I think of it....I'm surprised there aren't more physical fights in live poker rooms (not that this video really showed a "fight" - I think) I mean - considering the amount of money that crosses the tables - all day long - I would expect Western movie style flipping over the table and letting the players know what you really think of them.

Nevertheless....not good publicity.

I agree with you...no reason to jump him, he was just spouting off without threatening anyone. I am also surprised, like you, that there are not more physical altercations in a live poker room. Nobody has ever laid a hand on me, but I was threatened by some 6'5" body builder (I am 5'1" and 65 years old) in a tournament. I sat just to his left, which means I acted after him on most hands. I guess he didn't like me raising his small blind every time he limped.
