Do you know of any etiquette rules in live poker tournaments? Did you know that the bigger chips should always be visible to other players at all times? Comment on some rule you know

I definitely knew that, though it isn't just the large value chips that should be stacked neatly and visible. It is hard to think of another that applies specifically to tournaments, but I guess not deliberately delaying the game would be one.

If you think a player has a straight or flush don't say anything while they are in the hand.

I don't do this because I don't like when someone says something while I am in a hand.

Good luck !

Hi Berandir, I went to Vegas this weekend and played in my first two live tournaments and really enjoyed it. The person sitting to my left(seat 6) said,"put your larger chips on top, it will allow others to know how much you have and to save you the embarrassment later", right after winning a big pot. Initially I wasn't sure if person was serious, but made sense so I did it. I didn't make the money, but had a great time. Thanks to this post, I appreciate the person in seat 6.

I am also interested in other live poker table etiquette since I would like to continue playing live poker in the future.

I have never played live poker, but I recently read that you should tip a dealer.
I luckily live in a country where wages are decent and no one needs to be tipped.

I only tip if the service is exceptional.

I think the specific regulations are available in advance at every live tournament, what is allowed and what is not, I think it can be similar at most live tournaments.

Be at table when cards are dealt
Cards and chips should always be visible chips
Do not talk or whisper about the hand in play,
do not aruge with the dealer
do not tell player(s) how they should play, or how bad they do play
do not ask for rabbit (waste of time)
and be friendly most are there to have a good time.

Agree easy to follow list for 99% of people to follow but there's always one, the flop comes out 7,7,4 and one guy at the table shouts out "ah no i folded a 7"

Do not delay revealing your hand when action is on you-either muck the cards or show them immediately---it is always best to just show your cards when you are new so as to not make mistakes

In Australia the average is $48,000...that's minimum wage in the UK

Tip the dealer, you tight arse!

I don't go to casinos that make many millions in profit each year to subsidise their workers wages, if the staff don't like their wages, they can always get another job.

My thoughts on the matter don't stop you from subsidising the dealers wages, go your hardest. ;) I prefer that they get paid a decent wage by their employer. AUD$48K is not a bad wage to sit on your arse and play with cards and chips.

Not sure if this is universal but I was told not to wear sunglasses in the local place I went to. I have seen professionals wear them tough so not to sure to be honest

Relieving oneself into one’s palm and throwing excrement at an opponent is frowned upon in most circles…

Also don’t splash the pot!
