Anybody been here? They have a regular £120 buy in now with £100k GTD. I went down at the weekend and played a 2 day event, after making day 2 I managed to finish 98th out of 1250 players but it could have been so much better. Here is my bad beat......I am on the the button, short stacked just waiting for a hand to make a stand and the first card comes and I look and its King of hearts, as the dealer flicks out my second card it hits the button and flips up exposing the King of spades! Tried my best to keep it but they wouldn't let me haha Would have tripled up anyway with less than a hundred players left I went out a few rounds later but had some great moments that I won't forget such as being on the feature table for the entire day 2. The home of UK poker truly is the best place to play I would recommend to all.

I have been to DTD a few years back and would defo go again, it is certainly the best card room in the UK imo. I think GGPoker are having there UK poker championship there soon aren't they? Bit to steep for my bankroll though lol

That is correct mate. They are holding sats on GG daily for $1 with 1st place taking a $650 ticket for the main event, I finished 3rd in one last week it was brutal as it only pays 1st place, good luck got to be in it to win it might see you there.

Reminds me of a few years back when I was on the final table for some big Irish tourney...it was worth a few grand just for getting there, hotel and flight paid for etc. Anyways 6 places and I was in 7th (don't know how many thousands registered) and got greedy with mid size stack and shoved to steal blinds....was called by someone with same size stack with 8,6 off....you just wouldn't would you?

Yours sounds way worse mate! The only guess I can take is 8, 6 is the guys lucky numbers. For instance I would not fold 10 7 hearts preflop in any situation as its my lucky hand but that's about as brutal as it gets bet you felt scammed.
