I try to be ready to lose at any point at anytime and for any reasons. It really curbs the disappointment. All you can do is play, and unless you have the nutz, you are literally gambling. Nothing is guaranteed.

The closest I get to tilting is when i get eliminated right before a payout... but even then I console myself by saying I am playing to win and not place.

C'est la poker.

You know that feeling when you play AKs and lose vs QTs than you play QTs and lose vs AKs !
Is just not your day you can come back tomorow :)

Tilt is pretty much an unexplained phenomenon experienced by "players who should win" poker players.

Once you realize luck has a lot to do with your success you will stop trying to figure it out.

peace

Sometimes bad bets or those that you think are excellent, give you surprises of defeat that you want to leave the game, but I try to calm down and move on because otherwise you will play badly and you will not be able to continue

The tilt variable is the luck variable. Your skill isn't waning, you just ain't lucking out, the odds aren't working out for you.

sit tight........it works out.

First thing I do to deal with tilt is log off and take a break. If I feel like I just had some crazy bad beats in a row I will get up and walk off my emotion. Sometimes a couple of glasses of ice water will "cool" me down enough to get back into the action. Minimally I change tables and stay away from crazy play. If I catch someone continually raising with Q3 off or something similar, then I don't wait for them to catch a hand while I hold AA, but I change tables. Finding play that fits my style minimizes the effect of tilt in the long run. I remove those thoughts that I will win the next hand or get them the next time and instead try my skills with a whole new set of players. Keeping yourself from losing the rest of your stack to desperate play will only level out the ill effects of tilt.

Since I given up playing "seriously" and enjoy the game without the pressure to win, to get the bluffer acting, the best play in this spot, etc, I just don't really tilt anymore.
Of course I do make hero calls at doubtful spots, I do lay down hands with showdown value, but I just don't tilt anymore.
Playing for fun, as a hobby, was the best decision I ever made.
(plus, I actually started growing my BR... very slowly but still)

A good break, do other things that take the attention of poker, to get back without the pressure of tilt.

Try and Tilt someone else then sit back and breath lol.

If you on GGpoker, use the Haha Emoji after a ridiculous bluff or after winning a silly hand like with J3o, if you do it to the right player, he'll take all the tilt energy away from you.....just make sure to not fall in your own trap and play the subsequent hands...just fold the next 6 hands without looking.

Meditation is my best defense against Tilt. I must be aware of my emotions and reassure myself that my thoughts are not always reality. If I start to feel like everyone at the table is 3 betting me because they think I'm gonna fold every time I raise PF then I am probably on tilt. It isn't uncommon for broadway PP to show up on the board multiple times in a row. Then I have to look at the fact that some of them have 20 BB left or the fact that this guy has sucked out on the last 3 hands and I should just fold KTs from the BTN because its better than losing half my stack and going on tilt. I exploit players who go on tilt frequently and those are the players who add to my bankroll. There are some really great videos on Youtube about tilt and the 7 different kinds of it that really help you look for which type of tilt you are on. Some pros define tilt as any type of play that isn't your A game. If I have a bad day at work or I am mad at my girlfriend I am much more likely to experience tilt from one single bad beat than I am while in a neutral mood with a sufficient bankroll to accept the fact that someone may suck out on me and I may lose my stack.

To be honest, I don't think I'll ever not tilt to some extent after being the victim of a bad play gone good.

I have noticed that over time it has become easier to laugh it off a little sooner.

If I'm playing online, I'll take some time off and go have a cup of coffee.
Walking around the house helps a lot.
Sometimes I close my eyes for a few minutes listening to good music, to see if concentration returns.

Hi!
When I'm often run over and I feel like I'm ready to explode and crush everything around me.I close the tables ,drink green tea and do breathing exercises. But recently, watching streamers helped me-how they cope with trolling-they just translate everything into a joke or find positive moments in bad situations.)

If a tilt starts, then I take a break from the game and no longer play poker that day. I also go to rest, walk in the fresh air.
