Hello, everyone

I have decided to start playing poker, and mainly playing freerolls atm, and started wondering if playing MTT after deposit will be more useful or not ?

please share your experience, if you have started playing like this as well :)

Thanks for the tips in advance!

If youre planing to play mtt i would recomend freerols cuz they are risk free and not much different than lowest buyin. If youre planing to play cash then deposit and play cash. So imho i think that you should freeroll for some time until you start to get itm often and build some br

freerolls and real mtt is a big different, u can build up your bankroll with freerolls but thats a strong way and much of bad beats... and many many time. with a deposit and correct bankroll managment is the easyer way for me.

I started with freerolls and sometimes I win some prizes, but then I immediately invest them on Sit&Go and sometimes I lose it alla dn other times my bankroll increases but then again I invest more on Sit&Go and lose it all.
So my advice, play freerolls, a lot of freerolls, let your bankroll increase and then invest small amounts on Sit&Go and keep playing the same Sit&Go with the same amounts and if you're good, your bankroll will increase !

I started with freeroll but freeroll equals too much people, so I bought 10 dollares with promotion in pokerstars, that give me a lot of things, 25 extra dollars in money and tickets. and made it 50 until now playing 0.50 sit go 90 players and 1.00 sit

My advice - freerolls. They give free experience. That will come in handy in the game for money.

Freerolls are good for practice. And You can experience bad beats without losing real money :) same time it takes hours to get some money back. Smaller risk equals smaller award :)

I recommend to start with freerolls, but please keep in mind those tournaments are only freerolls. Several people playing like a crazy, going allin with any cards and as several members mentioned before the bad beats are more often. Freerolls are very good for practice but you have to spend a lot of time to win some cash.

As for me, very first time I've made minimal deposit at poker stars just to know what poker is. Next what I did was searching for private tournaments in every poker clients I can find. I started registered in it and play this privates MTTs growing my bankroll.
As a result I've been forced made deposit to withdrawal my pounds.

I would just play freerolls to gain some experience and bankroll. If your winning a lot then you can use the money from the freerolls towards playing the real money games. Once your comfortable with regular games and you can then invest money into your bankroll. Hope for the best.

A lot of it depends on how valuable your money is to you. If U JUST started playing poker then most likely you will be a losing player for real money at mtt's. If U do care about your money or it is valuable to you then I would strongly advise U to start playing freerolls & learn this great game of poker sans risk.

Freerolls are a great thing, but completely changes the experience of poker. I would recommend to do deppozit $ 50 and continue to develop. If you do not turn Switch to freerolls.

Freerolls are great to practice and you can't beat no risk, but it takes a long long time to build up any real $. At some point you want to take the $ you made in the freerolls and put it in to a tourney with an entry fee. Hopefully you cash in and can make the transition from freerolls with no money deposited, that's great!

You should always start with freerolls, because this way you can't lose any money and you always have a chance of earning some money and also starting a bankroll.

If u're really new to poker freerolls are fine, but if when u get all the fundamentals its a really poor play.

I recommend micro stakes Sngs before MTTs

Well, as a beginner, you should try the freerolls first. It's hard to build your bankroll this way, but you will learn a lot if you study the fundamentals of poker.

With a deposit, you can play more freerolls, with better prizes, but it's not necessary in the beginning.

I think if you will keep rules of bankroll management, you can easily make a deposit. When a question of is a MTT tournament, your bankroll must consist of 150 or more buy-ins. In that case even by losses you wouldn`t feel painfully waste of money and can stop at the riht moment and change your games. Good luck to you!
