Must be fun playing when you get hole cards like those! (I see video part 2 will be starting with you holding the bullets).

You seem to know your way around the tournament tables. I question the shove with KK, but no big deal since you questioned it too. Can't wait for the next one.

It was a nice video well done, That AQ hand really did you in but I mean it was Standard...Just curious why can't you fold those big hands preflop though, AK/AQ? Or do you actually like being in Races so much so that you'd be willing to burn with them alsio?

I was getting cards which is nice and my image helped me get paid off.

Naruto, its very hard to get away from AQs when you know that someone might be making a move. I guess I am willing to flip with such a small stack since I still have decent amount of chips left. At least it beats making a flip for all your money.

Personally I think it was far from 'standard'
I'll try to comment more later (re: bet-sizing, etc.) but for starters.. on this hand here inparticular.
The player's 3bet is a good 4x & while sitting w just over 30bb's he'll be priced in on your 4bet shove... in other words (imo).. he's never folding with a 30'ish'bb stack at this blind level after sizing a 3bet of that size with a stack of that size. (to consider it potentially being AJ there I think is wayyyy off). Knowing what stack sizes we'll have fold equity vs. when 4betting is pretty crucial. If you haven't read WPT Vol.1 & Vol.2 I'd highly recommend it (although I've only watched this first hr., but a few things have me suggesting it... I'll come back & comment on the others later)

Another brief note - alot of these guys see each other day in & day out... week in & week out (if it's a major & they're typically playing all the majors). When they see a random on the table (who's been 4bet shoving their stack in early levels) I'm pretty sure they're never 3betting light on a 30'ish' bb stack.

From what I have seen of this player in the tournament, I think he is not really thinking at that level, I like the thought process though. Seeing that the guy to my left and I have been going at it the couple hands before leads me to think that the 3-bet range is probably quite wide (Something like AJ+ & 88+).

One of things that lead me to the shove were previous hands and the fact that he seems quite active. I am not sure how many times he folds, but with such a wide range I am okay with getting it in.

I don't agree with this at all. In these bigger tournies with over 1500 players, the chance of having lots of regulars at one table is quite slim.

Will watch it all soon, just skipped through - saw that you said that you don't take much notice on a min raise because it's normally pairs and stuff? FWIW I min raise most of my range, not always as early as 50/100 (normally 100/200 onwards) :)

The AQ hand, people don't adjust well and when they do adjust they normally adjust badly - I don't think this guy is ever squeezing to 1/3 of his stack without a good hand. I don't mind getting it in given the size of his stack but I think it's pretty marginal; I don't think he ever does it with AJ, more AQ+ and pairs.

Yea, you should keep reminding me. I have been quite busy with school and computer games (which are quite a waste of time). I should have part 2 done today or in the next few days.

The challenge is not going great, but after 3 months of loosing it seems that things are starting to turn around. I was down close to 2K at the worst, but now I am only stuck like 1.5K :)

Sorry, just when I said that I could do it I have gotten very busy with other stuff and playing poker (almost even already and soon will start winning this year :) Just can't seem to find a time slot to sit down and go through the whole video. I will try harder next week when I am 100% sure that I will have some free time.

Watched the first 10 minutes, my 2 criticisms were, I probably would have checked the turn when you were UTG on the hand where you had trip 9's. Ya gotta figure someones gonna try to buy it there. And why would you not raise on the river when you have the 72 suited and make your flush. Even if he folds, your getting the same amount of $$$ and 99 percent of the time you are holding the winner there. Turned out he was holding 2 pair and I'd say there was about a 90 percent chance he would have called a sizeable raise there.

I think that your first point is good since no one bet on the flop they are unlikely to have Qx in this spot and most hands in the situation are almost drawing dead. My thinking was that since I checked the flop, I might get some action for two streets from hands like TT, JJ that the late position player might have been raising but not betting on the flop.

In the 72 hand, the pot size bet on the river seems quite strong. His line of checking, calling and betting pot seem most in line with a very strong hand which could be a bigger flush. Its a very marginal situation especially with a lot of money behind, what do I do if I raise and he shoves?

Flint I see your reasoning for betting the turn. What is the point of hitting the nutz if you cant win a sizable pot. However, maybe an A or 3 to a stra8 comes out on the river giving someone a hand. If someone has the Q they will likely raise a river bet anyway. Since you have basicly the nutz I think check an bet river like a bluff would be your most profitable move.

On the 72 hand I aggree that if you would not be comfortable putting all of your chips in on that flush for the show down when he reraises you should just call. More times than not you have the best hand but if you are not ready to call the re-raise just call as he will re-raise with a good amount of hands there. As an added benifit showing the 72s makes you look reckless and will give you more action.

Overall it looks like you got some great hands and overall played well (KK shove was only big mistep IMO). Glad to hear you are turning things around. Looking forward to Part 2!
