He showed the Bluff! Now I’m tilted

I have a tough time playing after another player shows me that he bluffed me off a hand. It’s usually those 50:50 decisions at the turn or river and im tanking for a while Then I throw away my cards. Then he gets me angry by showing me air or missed draw after I muck the cards.
This effects my play and some times tilts me
Not sure what to do.
I don’t ask “will you show the hand if I fold?”
But maybe I should to get a read into the other player before I muck
It’s not good ediquitte to show and I know they are doing it to show his good bluff to the table
I think they should quietly take the pot and be thankful I didn’t make a hero call
Need a tip to handle this situation
Sure bluffing is part of the game. But showing?

I know I am guilty of doing the exact thing to other players but it seldom I do that. It’s usually a revenge show to a player I intensely dislike playing poker with.

If you think about it, you are letting him beat you twice. Don't let it happen. He bluffed you off your hand, that's fine just make a note of it and move on. He is doing it to tilt you and it is working so he is beating you again. Do you really want to let him have the satisfaction of beating you twice like that? That should be determination to keep cool

If you dont want to know dont ask...discipline yourself. If you aren't folding the winning hand every now and then you are calling it off too much

Poker is all about being emotionless. Because when emotions become involved it does affect your game. Just take a little extra time on each hand to learn to only care about the game.

That’s bad advise How aren’t you are emotionless? Not possible. Even the good players don’t show emotion are deeply passionate about the game. Even if they don’t show it. They have nightmares about bad beats. I think it worse to bottle it up cause it going to pop more like a champagne bottle and make you tilt harder. My point is you have to know when to hold and when to fold them and when to walk away ( when you feel tilt) it’s almost impossible to take time off during tournaments play you get blinded out

I will only show if I think it will put you on tilt. As a matter of fact I have notes on players that tilt easily.Tilting player = easy money. You have to learn to keep your emotions in check, Good luck,

You can't stop them from bluffing.

You can't stop them from showing their cards.

You can only control your own emotions. And ask yourself why that player is showing a bluff. It is usually to set up another hand when they will be very strong. But they usually play that hand differently.

Showing is part of the game too. As a player you need to be mentally and emotionally prepared to handle anything that happens at the poker table even if it falls outside the rules of the game, or the rules of etiquette.

I am not saying you have to allow people who cheat to cheat. You should mentally know what the proper recourse is and then be able to emotionally put it behind you.

As for the rest like showing, which is perfectly legal and in my belief, another facet of the legal mental warfare at the table, you need to first, be emotionally able to withstand that you have been outplayed on that hand, and then be able to replay the hand, understand why the opponent felt this play was going to work, and how handle similar situations in the future.

Anger usually brings more anger at the poker table.

that's tough to do, but that is exactly what the guy wants. To tilt you. then you will call light and he will get more chips. Just think, good job, and forget about it. Tough to do though. I have seen folks do that and stack the guy they tilted a few hands later.

I'm one of those Players, sometimes I Show them my 3 Barrel bluff with air. the main reason to Show it is to let them pay the next time I have the nuts


my best advice: take notes About their Play and NEVER think 'next time I will get you'. Play against him like he never showed the bluff and continue like you made a good fold.

The game is about exploiting other players. So if he made you tilt by showing his hand, he got a huge advantage on you!

Just take a step back, increase fold frequency for a bit and re-focus.
