Hi, im new on this forum, and im happy to find it.

So im 25 years old, i have a job, and im student (slowly but i am).

My cuestion is how you manage the discipline.

How you have a strong BRM ?.

I cant play with a bankroll for a entire month, im always going up stakes because i want to win more money easyly, but without a strong bank on back.

Im feel im really undiscipline with my life, and so with poker.

I like to take $100us and play a month with it. And then if i can make a good brm make a big deposit.

So how you do to have a good brm ?.

The funny part is, when i play with brm im above the average on playing style and i win money, but when i get out of the line i always finish broke of course.

When i play live cash games i win huges amount of money, but i can play just the fridays with gamblers people.

I read you guys.

Order your life first

In my opinion you have to order your life first, be methodic in the way you play, or you'll end up loosing it all, be careful on how much you are afford to gamble, and don't try to win every timee, some times you have to accept that other players win.

Speaking of discipline.
Is it ideal to play SNG tournaments if I have 100 times the value of the buy-in? I have read in some forums that it is ideal to have that amount so do not suffer so much when taking the bad beats

I think that poker can not be a standard game with one strategy! In poker, you always need to change your strategy depending on your opponents. You need to constantly change both the style of the game and the stakes. Good luck to all!

Learn to enjoy gambling. Don't say you hate it because that attitude is why you aren't managing yourself right.

Admit you are somewhat addicted to it and then you can manage efficiently.

I on river waited that an opponent will collect стрит because I had flush. But when showed down фул хаус appeared for an opponent. I lost certainly. .what I write it all to. I got наслождение from торгов and all that took place not looking that I lost. Simply by a наслождайтесь game and if it is not present that it is not necessary to play a poker. A poker needs to be loved independently in winning you or in a loss.

Try to block those games and restrictions that do not suit you, for example, to block the game cache above 10 within a month, and after a month to review the limit of blocking !!!

Without discipline, you will be hard at poker. I take with me for the table 2% of the sum on the account, when I feel insecure1%.

Set goals for yourself, make a plan and stick to it. For example, decide to play one game type with certain stakes for a month and nothing else. If you google bankroll management you can find guidelines on how big a bankroll you need to have for each stakes in different games. If you are struggling with BRM I recommend taking a conservative approach instead of trying to move up stakes as fast as possible. Keep track of your winnings, how much you play, whatever you think is relevant. Social pressure helps most people, you can start a challenge thread here or a blog and report there every time you play.

Discipline is like a muscle, you need to gradually make it stronger. Maybe set a goal for another area in your life as well? Nothing too crazy, start with small weights and move up.

Just because poker is a hobby for you doesn't mean you shouldn't take it seriously. It can be a good place to start actually, learning discipline in poker will help you be more disciplined with other things as well.

You could do some reading on mental coaching and self development. It doesn't have to be poker related. Same principles on setting goals and making a plan work no matter what you want to achieve. For example Steve Pavlina's blog has tons of free material on the subject.

It is VERY IMPORTANT

:DYou have to order your life first (as anyone sad above).
What will define the buy in's levels is your bankroll, your mindset and your skill
Playing without a BRM is for recreatives players, they (as you) dont worry about their frequence, they want just one result, even they are unprofitable.:D

I played only two years in online poker and only play with smaller stacks in freerolls because I haven't reached the skills of a good player and can't afford to play at high bets but if you believe in yourself then you can certainly play at the big stacks but I would not advise to do so you need to learn how to play online poker

Thanks for this i like the part that, discipline is a muscle, I think that is true.

I read a lot of books, and a lot of brm the thing is my impulse and discipline are really weak.

Im doing yoga and meditation to make focus and relax my self I think is working.

I tend to have the same amount of buyins for SnGs as with MTTs... minimum 100BI - 200BI ....some may say for SnG it can be less, but my experience in SnGs is that many players who grind SnGs are the ones you find in SnG lmao not many random players...and so everyone has the same strategy --- to survive to get ITM and they also know the push/fold hands // strategy.

I tend to stay away from SnGs for this reason.

Hey duckyfAL

I am also new myself to CC.
I used to read threads for a while but never got into the community.

It actually is a relief to get in here. We can build our discipline by tracking progress and seeking to move on with poker as something more than just a game.

With Cards Chat, it can now become something that brings you together with others that love this complex game as much as you do.

I myself struggle with BRM and have experienced all you stated above.
But I'm done with that past and I am changing my attitude towards the game.
I am glad we are in the same boat and are going to be advancing from recreational players into dedicated learners of the game.

You can always hit me up to discuss hands or anything related / unrelated to poker.

Wish you all the best,
- WhenSheSmiles

I can give you 1 advice from a pro:

If you play for money, you will never go anywhere but broke. Instead, play for a good game. Not in a entertaining way, but in a professional way. Say you play a tournament. FORGET about the buy-in and 1st place payout, forget about prize pool. Insted, focus on a good, professional game, and see how far you can go such way. You will be surprised about the results, just be PATIENT! :)

Every guy who is just starting to play, I suggest the same thing - start with freerolls. You have nothing to lose, but you can earn some money and some experience.

Complete the game if you lack self-discipline. This is difficult to do, but by regularly thinking about it and analyzing your condition, you can achieve what you want. You don't need to play until your eyes start to stick together or until you lose most of your bankroll.

I don't take into account any bankroll systems. I play as I want. The point is in these systems. Over time, you feel like a robot and there is a routine. I love the excitement, when it is there I want to fight I fold a lot waiting for a good moment to win.
