Chris and Misch. I just watched the 1st installment. That was fantastic. Way better than watching poker porn like wsop or WPT. Nice work.

Hey guys - would it be too much if I asked that another file repository be used? I get "all the slots reserved for your country are in use" on Megaupload for several days non-stop.
In other words, I still can't see the tournament :(

HOWEVER, I may have lost 3 years worth of eyesight.
.

I hooked up the .avi's from Goggle Video onto my 32" LCD TV and surround sound system. It's looks fine and beats the crap that's running on TV by miles.

Kudos, gents.

Wow, you do have a hot British accent. I think I'll go jerk off to the video now.

P.S great video by the way. Seeing everyone's hole cards is bloody awesome.

Many folks here use MegaUpload/download to get a file which then plays via the MS media player. It is free for the basic service which will allow you view the 'episodes' . Each tourney is broken up into multiple 'episodes'.

If you just click on one of the files in the post here, it will take you to the MegaUpload thing. The google vids are not generally satisfactory to many users.

I USED THE MEGADOWNLOAD AND GOT A FILE THAT IS A ".RAR" FILE. MY WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER DOESNT KNOW WHAT TO DO WITH THIS FILE. WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO GET THIS TO PLAY??

Just in case anyone else needs help viewing these, google search for 'VLC media player' and download it.
Works great with .rar files. :)

EXCELLENT video! Thanks a bunch Misch and Dorkus.

These are really good quality instructional videos. Having seen about half of the first one, i've already remembered a few basic things that has been missing in my freeroll frenzy, dumbass newbie play as of resent.

To underline how good these videos are: I watched this first segment while the MAN U - Milan CL game ran on tv...

Hint to Nick: I would consider cutting them into hand by hand videos (to accomodate size issues) and using Youtube and/or myspace to promote the videos and CC further.

If someone wants to view it with no commentary they can go buy PT and do it themselves.
or download the new Poker Tracker 3 beta - it's free! :D

One of the interesting things for me is how often DM says that the options for certain hands are raise or fold, but never call - or "limping", as DM calls it :D

Thanks very much for all the effort that Chris and misch put into this, it's brilliant to find an instructional video with a local accent - I live less than an hour's drive from Birmingham. I note that misch has banned against his name, is that a permanent ban or just a temporary glitch?
OMG, you're English? i had no idea ;)
No, having Location: Birmingham, UK on every post doesn't really give much of a clue, does it

What you have to bear in mind is that I have been a member here for about two weeks, if that, and Alien Genius keeps giving links for brilliant old threads. The website did suggest that I start a new thread because it's an old thread, but it seems more logical to keep it all together to me :)

This is a really useful resource, and I'm sure some of the other newbies will be grateful that it has been resurrected... ;)

Yep, not a problem bringing back a good and unique thread.

Maybe somebody could tell me by PM what happened to misch, and whether it's a permanent ban, if people don't want to openly post about it?

As you may or may not be aware, a few weeks ago mischman (pronounced MEESH-man) and myself ran an event open to 'loyalers' in which we would request the participants hand histories...

I downloaded all three parts and watched the first two. (I'll get to the final one soon)
I had abandoned S&G's awhile back because I felt like I was losing my touch.
I re-read the first two Harrington on Hold'em books, watched a S&G all the way through (in which I saw what the winners were doing that I was not), which helped me fix the leaks I had developed.

Then I watched the first two videos in this series, and pretty much predicted everything that was said. I even picked up a few minor narrative goofs (bound to happen if you look at that many cards for that long).

So yesterday I decided to try another S&G.

I dominated. It was awesome. Lately, ring games have seemed too much like work, so it's nice to have another option open.

Thanks a lot Dorkus. I owe you a beer. Great video.

Thanks for the kind words. :)

Seeing as this thread has been resurrected this is probably as good a place as any to announce that with the kind assistance of kcanuck in chasing people for HHs, a second holecards up vid, from the last CCOP main event, is in the pipeline.

I'm hoping to make it a lot prettier by using PTv3/PO/some pretty hand replayer that supports the mangled HHs, although I don't know how amiable anything other than PT will be to the conjoined hand histories. I'm also hoping to get Camtasia and Skype to work together so I can do commentary with (a) guest(s), although I may need some help from people who know more than I do to get everything running and talking to each other, so to speak.

I'd guess with me being a little busy at work, having to look after the Team Event, having to get various tech issues sorted, and having to decide who the guest(s) should be that the vids are at least a month away, but it's something for you all (and me!) to look forward to.
