Hi , I'm just curious .
Did you win more money than you lose at poker in your entire life?;)
I definitely won hundreds of times more than I lost. Otherwise, I would have just quit playing poker. Although poker is a hobby for me, and I primarily play to win, the money I win is an indicator of my effectiveness as a player and my progress in general. I've won hundreds of times more than I've lost, that's for sure :)

Before CC, I was introduced to poker by friends and family, playing for free or small buy-ins. My balance is still positive. Now that I have taken step to learn this game in depth and practice it seriously, I intend to establish a bankroll for myself, stick to it, and play with larger buy-ins in money, while continuing my involvement and activities with the exceptional CardsChat.

The percentage of winning poker players is relatively small. Estimates suggest that only about 10-20% of poker players consistently turn a profit over the long term. Within this group, a smaller percentage achieves significant or professional-level earnings. Success in poker requires a combination of skill, discipline, and effective bankroll management. Many players fail to account for the house rake, variance, and competition level, which can erode profits. Continuous learning and adaptation are crucial to maintaining a winning edge in the game.

if you ask this question for an encouraging answer I do not think it's a good idea because everyone is their experience, try your luck and see if the poker will be profitable for you or not .. and learn as and when see the result. but do not spend a lot of time playing. make a limit good luck

Considering that I hardly ever invest real money in poker, then yes, I am a plus player. I've only made initial minimum deposit at 888 and GGPoker and a few deposits at pokerstars (as I lost a few times on bets). I invest money in poker if it is profitable for me (for example, in various Challenges). :sneaky:

If you take everything together, cash poker and tournament poker, then in about 4 years (the first 2 years I played only freerolls and didn't lose or win anything significant), and in the last two years I won a little over 5 thousand dollars. If you also take into account sports betting and casinos, you can confidently say that I lost several thousand there

I've won many times at 888 Poker, but on other sites I've lost whatever I've won for a reason.

I am in the ratio of 70 to 30 percent. 70 gain and 30 loss. My opinion is that I am fine.

Definitely yes. As far as poker is concerned, I've won more than I've lost, probably hundreds of times more. As for slots, I've lost more than I've won, definitely more than ten times.

I won more than I lost. I play only poker, I've been playing for about 3-4 years and although I can't say exactly how much I've won, it's definitely more than $3 thousand. I spent no more than $100 on the game.

I can confirm with absolute certainty I have never lost a Dime playing on-line Poker, I have never made a deposit to any site So It's impossible for me to lose money I never deposited.
In Casinos etc, for Live poker games sure I have had to invest my own money to buy into Tournaments or cash games, but I use the same Bankroll strategy for Live events as I do for On-line Poker, I only buy-in with Money I am prepared to Lose, If I cannot afford to lose it I simply don't play.
For me it is much more than Winning or Losing, It's a Nights entertainment I am willing to pay for, regardless of the result, If I win I will place all my winnings into a coffee pot I never use and that is my Bankroll, I never mix my own money with my Poker Winnings because things can get blurred and hard to follow, but having a separate stash for my Poker games allows me to see in real hard cash how well I am playing.
It also allows me to treat my Wife and myself to special events like a Concert now and again, or a Weekend Break, even a Vacation occasionally, I remember once I was just walking out the door to go and play Poker with a Friend in a Pub Game and she asked me for some extra cash as she needed some new clothes for a Holiday coming up, I said I would leave her my winnings on the coffee table and she could help herself.
"Who says you are going to Win?" she shouted at me as I was leaving, I just smiled at her and said "Have I ever Lied to you? It will be there".
The next morning she woke early to go to Work and as Promised I had left her my winnings from the previous night and left a note saying enjoy your shopping and there's more where that came from, She just left a note saying I guess you won then:)
I Promised my wife When I started Playing Poker On-line it was only going to be a Hobby thing, and I would never use my own money to play, I kept that promise for over 20 years now and still have not made a deposit. Poker is much more than simply making money, It is about being in control of all your emotions, not giving anything away to your opponents at the table, being able to pull of a bluff when you need to, Showing strength when you are weak and showing weakness when you are strong. It is a battle of wits trying to outsmart your opponents and lead them into traps. Much like Chess or any other game. More importantly it is also about control over your Finances, Don't ever play with Scared Money, Money you cannot afford to burn!

Online is a break even at home win lots more. I have thrown games just so friends do not get pissed off because I win too much sometimes. Or I try to bluff just for the hell of it.

That's the idea when you play poker, that most of the money is profit... obviously at the beginning it's not like that, because learning has its price, but then things get better.

Have you made any money, or are you like me win a fair bit and then you can not win any hand until your money is gone. It seems once I am up, I get beat beat by a lot of straights with trip K, Q. Just seems strange but always happens.
