You think the future will be poker online and I say only because the technology is constantly advancing and we become more dependent of these days means you think think the live poker ceased to exist

In my opinion I think you call the Poker will be online only, hardly the players fail to feel the thrill of playing live, to see the face of his opponents put away their chips and feel that tingly inside some hands that was extremely exciting.

I don't think online succeeds without live poker. People want to see their opponents and touch the cards and the cash!

No way this will happen. Many people play live poker specifically for the physical and social interaction that you cannot get while playing online.

Nope - as long as we have brick and mortar casinos we'll have live poker

As long as Casinos are profitable, and as long as players want to stare into their opponents' souls, you will have live poker.

I think better question is will online die? If U.S. legislation doesn't change U.S. market won't support industry. Also increased presence and success of bots will harm game. We saw online rise so fast I wonder if it could fall just as quick.

This. I'd be more concerned about online poker dying out before live poker. I don't think it will as the strong European market is massive and the US is slowly coming back around to it. But if I had to say online vs live dying out, it'll be online.

I doubt there's that many effective enough bots. As long as sites actively sniff them out and limit them then it's all good. And I also suspect many online players don't even care or notice bots.

NO, playing poker live is 10000x fun than online. Online poker is like a cigarette to a drug addict. Its something to do while you wait for the big dance.

actually i think poker is one of the few exceptions to the rule of everything going online. I think online poker has no future and has to repeat has to die. people will always be able to get bots onto the site despite the bravado shown by some here, every time I have read about a bot been caught it has always had a very impressive win rate, that even the best regs rarely hit.

anyone who has a basic grasp of maths would have to realize the full threat faced from bots and bots cannot be stopped. i mean heck sake you could have one program on a different computer with a different interent connection scan the screen and make suggestions for human input on the connection playing.

as far as i know the tech to do this far does not exist yet i may well be wrong though. however it is completely feasible to. meaning unless they sent inspectors round to peoples houses or had big brother monitoring you cant stop bots killing online poker.

much harder to smuggle bots into a live game.

live poker is the future interent poker has a limited shelf life.

Online poker, bookmakers, casino and is not taxable States gets out a lot of money in the form of taxes. In the Czech Republic already started semblance of online bookmakers. How much a player is when they have to pay tax on playing online, so rather die of live play.

Yes of course, I do believe. Poker and sex will be only in the online edition and we won't leave our room ever again. That's amazing right? :D

Cannot see this happening, ..There is something nice and different when playing a live game, as opposed to sitting at home alone looking at a computer screen. The social aspect of live games will keep attracting people
