If you look at the top players in the world, they eat, sleep, drink, think, talk about, and constantly play.

He went back to Toronto, changed his attitude, and started over.
It was a long, hard road for him, but once he made a name for himself, he started getting sponsors, and started charging huge fees just to enter a tournament. His name is what made him rich.
If you have the dedication, smarts, and know how to use your luck (probably the most important thing), you might be able to do well.

For me, it's mostly the enjoyment of playing, and trying to get as deep as I can into the money.
