I'm a tournament player, I consider myself skilled at the game through years of practice. In my opinion tournament play is completely different and has to be played differently. What's ur thoughts?

LOL. How about to rename this thread to "Tournament players complains about their bad luck in cash games"?
Well i am a tournament player too. (Better said SNG-player tho.) And i am suck at cash games as well, so i try to keeping myself from playing it.
But it's alright, you know. You just can't play everything good. (Except if your name is Phil Ivey.. :D ) So just leave it and get even better at what you are already not bad! That's my IMHO.

Tournament player only as they are more safer. Cash games usually many people play same tables every day. And know each others style.

Are you a Tournament player or cash game player?

To be a successful online cash player you need a very strong understanding of fundamentally sound poker. Online is a very tough cash environment.

I am saying all of this to say that I am an online tourney player and a "live" cash game player. I respect all types of poker players. I know "cash" players like to put down tourney players but I feel it takes work to be profitable at your favorite type of game.

i prefer cash game, cause to win at playing tournaments needs more skills, patients and times.

I enjoy and play both cash games and tournaments. However I much prefer the structure and variety of tournaments so I like to sit down and play several tournaments throughout a day when I can over playing cash.

Depends on if I have time, SNG's are what I'm alright at. The 1 thing with MTT's is that I've finished in the top 100 hundreds of times. I very rarely Make a final table, compared to the amount of times I've ran deep. And 50 of those times are top 30 finishes.

MTT or SNG, because they have stages that you need to keep passing, early stage, the mid game/bubble and the final table.

I usually play both types, but I identify with tournaments. I only usually venture into cash.

Jsnake716 that's a good comment, never underestimate your opponents even if they are not as experienced as you are

In the cash game, you just need to be more disciplined, and in tournaments there is still a greater percentage of luck

I play poker for more then 10 years and I'm 90% cash-game player. I like to learn my opponents, so I rarely change tables. I can sit from 1 hour and up to 2 days.
About tournaments, I played a lot, but I don't know why I.m as good at cash and same time bad at tourneys

I've always preferred cash games, but these days I'm almost strictly playing MTTs. If I could easily quit playing cash games during a session (especially if I was winning), I'd be strictly cash. I feel like I've never had a profitable session though because I can play as long as the game's running. So my sessions will always start good, and slowly I play bad and start giving it all back and some.

I focused on tournament play for years but it's been mostly cash tables for the past 3yrs. (or more?) mostly live but also some online micro/low stakes stuff. I tell myself I will play tournaments again at some point but it hasn't happened yet, lol.
I believe you will find more poorly playing players (a.k.a. donks, fish, etc.) playing in tournaments,... especially micro stakes online.

I consider myself a micro cash game player, of course tournaments are great but cash games have been more profitable for me than tournaments so I consider myself more of a cash game player...

I play a lot of tournaments, knock-out and MTT -------- SNG - spin and go - freerolls I like tournament games, but sometimes I go play for an hour in the cash game to distract and relax from the tournament game, because which is very exhausting in the tournament to play for 3 -4 hours or more and takes a lot of time!
