This is a discussion on WSOP Final Table which is the best to watch? within the online poker forums, in the General Poker section; Hi everyone, I just watched the 2008 WSOP Championship Final and I really enjoyed watching it and seeing the pros play. I'm just wondering which
Tbh I think the final table is one of the most boring days of the WSOP. Most of the hands just end up being flips because of blinds and relatively short stacks. From a pure poker perspective I guess it's good to watch the guys who have outlasted the entire field but personally I don't find it overly entertaining. I love in the early to mid stages the way you get to see loads of different tables and personalities. Watch the Sammi Farha hand where he stacks the guy on his first hand of the tourney it's lololol.
I agree with Aldito. I used to watch a lot of final tables but it became quite tedious. I've been watching cash games, shootouts, heads-up and from time to time I search for videos with specific players.
I don't fancy early and mid stages on TV actually. Too much celebrity too little poker.
re: Poker & WSOP Final Table which is the best to watch?
Yeah, I would recommend watching through the episodes of a main event. Any year is great, and you can probably find a load of recent years on youtube. I watched through all of last year's and really enjoyed the stories around a number of the players and some fantastic hands. Enjoy!
