I think it is a good skill to have. Then a child can make some money early from the age of 18 onwards online. It could even be taught in schools.

I have learned to play poker since I was 10 years old, I think it would be good to learn poker as a child and if it goes well, then from the age of 18 you can start making money
I know for sure that some people do exactly that.

I think there's nothing wrong with teaching a child to play poker, but as long as they have no money.

It is better to teach children how to earn money. For example, to go shopping on behalf of neighbours, for milk, bread or whatever is needed. Or run other small errands or do the cleaning. Then you can create your own home system of taxation of children's income, and even take rent from children for living in an apartment. And you can use this money to play in buy-in tournaments.

I still think that children should not play until they are of legal age, because it is a game of chance, no matter how you look at it. There are many different interesting games for children to develop attention and memory. And when a child reaches 18, it is their choice what to do and what to play.

I already thought about teaching poker to my grandchildren so they could earn some money in their parents' accounts, but then I decided to let it go, they'll become anti-social like me and life will just be about poker

Teaching kids poker can be good for developing math skills, strategic thinking, and emotional control—but only when they’re mature enough to understand the risks and not treat it as gambling.

Anyone will learn about gambling on their own sooner or later. I think it’s better to help them understand it with math instead of letting them get hooked without their parents knowing.

I don't see any harm in that.
I am teaching my son who is 10 how to play momentarily.
He was always curious, but i told him then that when time comes i will show you.
As he reached 10 i told him then that the time has come and he was very happy:)

Good question! I play poker myself and sometimes watch final tables on YouTube, so of course my kids see it and get curious. I have two sons, aged 5 and 8, and we have a nice big poker set at home. They often ask me to play with them, but honestly, they enjoy the chips more — the weight, the sound when they fall on each other. They already know a bit about betting rounds and raising, but they don’t understand odds or hand combinations yet. Teaching them to play online? I’m not sure, probably I’m against it — maybe only freerolls or play money games when they get older.

Poker can stimulate several good things, it is the game in which I have even been most frustrated, but thanks to the fact that I don't leave it today I deal a little better with it (with the frustration of losing), meanwhile, it can also influence bad things such as addictions to casino games, gambling, and other unpleasant environments. Besides that, I don't think that living poker is a very convincing lifestyle, at least where I live it's not very profitable, and I think that's going to leave a person very stressed.

I see no harm in it. My dad taught me when I was seven, we played for jelly beans. I loved those special times with my dad. I never thought I was gambling.

Personally, I’m against teaching children to play poker.
Even though it’s a game of skill, it still involves money and risk.
I think it could lead to problems in the future, especially if they don’t fully understand the difference between playing for fun and gambling.

There's nothing wrong with that. But only for chips.

Learning the concepts of poker is tough enough for adults. Let the kids teach the adults how the adults to play is what i say! If its in the name of fun i dont see anything wrong with kids learning to play not for real $ .

I am a poker fan myself. But I would not instill a love for this game in children. Unfortunately, I do not consider this game so useful for life.
