Work, Life, Poker Balance. Managing my time.

As a player coming back to the game after a few years off. I remember struggling with managing my time between poker, family and work. My problem was that I was addicted to playing 7 days a week. I was hot for a very long time which was easy to play 7 days a week, leading me to degenerate status, shuffling aside my family and friends for the almighty $$$$. Well when you end up losing it all, like I did. You dont lose just money. You have to earn back the trust, respect and loyalty from friends and family. Nevertheless, a hard lesson learned. Now, I've allocated time slots for my poker time(Me time) and it's working well. Has anybody else struggled with balancing poker n life????

My wife is unhappy when I spend a lot of time playing poker, so I try to play when she is not at home or she is sleeping, I think that family is the main thing in life and no money will replace her.
