Hey everyone,

Hope everyone is having a great day. I am just curious on how people do in real life as compared to online. As in do you win more money at your local games or online.

Happy gaming,

I have still been playing real money online for a very short time, but compared to the same period of time playing in casinos I have earned more money in person

I think in general people are much more profitable online than live... You play a lot more hands , more tournaments and more sit&go's. So the odds to earn more money or just be ITM more often is much higher online
But surely there are people who are quite better when playing live, looking in the eye you know?

online poker for me is great! I love the easy access. However, when I play in person, I have a great time; for more than one reason. First off, family: We take a couple of weeks for camping, fishing and hiking. Cooking and eating what we catch (memory-making). Once my family is cared for and tucked in, the anxiety, frustration, doubt and in general the negativity just slips right off and I'm completely ready and relaxed to compete. I enter cash tourney and I try to not focus on how many players or anything other than the hand at present (if hand is folded, then I study others). More often than not I bring to Camp the Bacon (which means the extras; s'mores and marshmallows). The other benefit is the idea of Collecting my money there and then. GOD bless you all.

Unfortunately playing live in casino is much more expensive than online so micro player like me can rarely afford it. For example online i can play MTT with buyin of 0.55$ and the cheapest live MTTs in casino in my country started at around 12$ and we are speaking about rebuy tournament so you should have at least around 36$ (one rebuy and one addon) to have any real chance. Freezouts usually start around 35$ also. In addition to that the casino in our capital where these tournaments played was closed in january and with the addition pf the pandemic currently we do not have live poker game in the capital for now. Home games are place where focus is mostly on drinking and fun instead of playing good poker so i do not even consider them in my poker balance.

Saying so in one of the few times when i played live in the casino i hit big in the 12$ rebuy MTT for the equivalent of around 450$ which is far bigger than my current bankroll earned online so technically speaking live game is more profitable for me. :D

I only play online, so I do not really have anything to compare it to. But I think playing live is harder than online.
