In the time line of poker, some variants were more popular, so nowadays they are almost forgot, Like this we may be studying a variant that can stop to be played in large scale. Do you think Texas Holdem someday will lost its popularity?

There are a lot of different games like stud or razz. But i think holdem is still most popular and it wont change in the next time. It has such a big community.

It is very difficult because it is the most popular, I like to play a lot. Omaha is one of my most outstanding games. I am very good at playing it.

Everything is not forever, and I think that the time will come when poker will already be just an entertainment game and it will be impossible to play for money and earn it for your life. When it comes it is a matter of time.

No, In the World of gambling Nothing really seems to Fall. It just "evolves" in a sense. With the Amount of Low buy ins for Max Payouts the World of Holdem is become bigger and Bigger. Will it plateau at all? sure. I don't ever feel unless some gambling law comes through that texas Holdem will fall the way other games have

I think it will stay on the top for a while.
It's one of the easiest versions of poker, where the game goes pretty fast too and you don't need to much cards at once. The luck factor is also pretty big in Texas Holdem which is good for amateurs.

I think the Texas Hold'em will only gain popularity. This is a dynamic game that has extraordinary prospects in the future.

I think that texas hold em will keep its popularity over the next century. And will have
its ups and downs but will remain in the casinos and online.

Well to answer that question poker has been here for years I mean we are talking about back in the old days with gunslingers and everything it was something that they did to make money it was something that people did for fun and everything that they did back then is what they do now only things are more advanced do I think that poker is going to die somehow no not at all there will come times when poker will blow up again as of right now you don't see it as much because of pokerstars and full tilt but I have faith that they're going to bring that stuff back soon enough and when they do poker is going to explode again

There's always some other variation showing up, like short deck or open face Chinese poker which seems to become popular. But I think, Texas Hold'em is alive and well. The fact that almost 29 000 people played that anniversary tournament at the beginning of the World Series shows people are still interested in it.

I think Hold'em is more popular because it’s easier to learn its rules and combinations. And more Hold'em tables.

The popularity of any version of the game is also due to the fact that it can popularize the tournament organizers. Similarly, Texas hold'em poker became popular after the organizers began to use this version of the game as the final moment of the world competitions. Now everything fell into place. And professionals began to receive incredible winnings of several million dollars and a gold bracelet weighing 14 carats as confirmation of the world title. Naturally, everyone will want to get such a reward. So I think Texas hold'em won't lose its popularity any time soon.

poker is not so hard game as chess, but on the similar level of popularity. age of the chess-game nearly 500 years and i dont think this game will lost its popularity. poker is young game in worldwide and i think during next 500 years poker's popularity will grow in parallel with population of the earth :) :)

Hello.
I think that the classic Hold'em will not lose popularity, and vice versa, the popularity of this game will grow.

Holdem is a popular variant, but so were all the others at one point. I’m sure holdem won’t always be the popular game but poker itself will last forever, even if it isn’t possible to make the amount of money available in the past.

The truth is I do not know. But if it were to lose popularity, player traffic would be greatly reduced. And this last could be seen in 2 ways.
On the one hand, there would be fewer recreational players, this would negatively affect regular players.
And on the other hand, having little impact the Texas mode, the number of professional players would decrease, because they will migrate to the most popular poker modalities, where the largest number of recreational players is.
So my question is, if the fashion of the Texas Holdem modality ends, would this new scenario be better or worse for the regular players of that modality?
I think the answer to this question is, it depends on the level of play where you participate.
The micro-limits scenario will probably get worse, because the number of recreational players that can be found will be much lower.
On the other hand, it may be more profitable (for regular players) to participate in medium and high levels of betting, because the number of professional players will be minimal, and because there may be more opportunities to take advantage of.
Greetings.

Omaha has been gaining strength for some time, but the popularity of Hold'em is almost unshakable.

Holdem wont go away. There is to much money in the stakes. When becomes less lucrative for pro players you might see a drastic decline but it wont go away.

I do not think he will lose his popularity. There may be a decrease in activity, but it will also increase within reason. And in general, not so popular in world history Hold'em, that would talk about it on a historical scale. The usual game that leaves a small mark in the history of mankind. But for our age is enough))
