re: Poker & Why do players SLOW ROLL ?
By show of hands, who here still doesn't know the difference between SLOWROLLING and slow-playing?
From the looks of these posts, besides the ones that explaing the difference noone is either, 1) not reading the posts before posting, or 2) not comprehending what they are reading in the explanations.
SLOWROLLING: To use much more time needed to make a call when you have the nuts. Turning a snap-call into a time-bank call when not needed.
I have done this quite a few times in my online career but usually by accident when playing quite a few tables and it takes a while to get cycled back to the table to make the call. Purposely I have done it a very limited number of times, and ONLY to players that have slow-rolled me in the past.
SLOW-PLAYING: Using your time bank and extra time to make a decision or try to backdoor your way into a satellite seat or the money in a regular tournament. Can be used to try and fool your opponent into thinking you have nothing or something or however you want to try and use it to your advantage.
