It's been 2 to 3 years that I have been playing poker online.

And I would like to share this experience for newbie.

First we have to admit that majority of poker players play for money - which is slightly a big mistake.

Money = Emotion :eek:

Game = Enjoying :D

While poker is a game of patience, tactics, malice to find a way to win. Not a simple game for betting and win /loose. My point is that playing only for money purpose make you more vulnerable. Why?

- When loosing a bet, your emotions will come up and you loose control :mad:
- You do not want to do better than others on table, you want to make money :flute:
- You don't make strategy, you only play for money purpose :icon_shak

A poker player who is not playing only for money is more willing to win. Why?

- Play for fun, result = no stress :)
- Make strategy for one purpose - not money first - to get dumb others - fun :p
- Emotion control which make him more in the game :bandit:
- Even though he is about to loose, he will bet his last bid at the right moment - patience :rolleyes:

Poker is a great game, mostly for people who like strategies, opportunities:idea:, bluffs:dancing2:, malice:evil:...

Advise: Get to know properly the game, play free first, get your own strategies, and the most important be patient on a table.

Kind of... But this is not the real point.My point is to love the game instead of playing only for money.
Don't you agree?

I did not say that making money was the mistake. I am saying in my opinion - playing poker for money purpose only will result to loss... While playing for fun aiming money bring more positive point. I don't know if you get my point.

I understood you...
You want to say that you need to present poker as a game for pleasure - and then there will be victories and joy of these victories ...
For example, how is bowling ...?
To succeed .. you need to spend a lot ...
Payment: balls, coach, club, clothes and more ...
Without this there will be neither victories nor pleasure ..))
I approximately understood your idea?))
:ciao:

I agree with this point. As every other thing you need to take your time and develop your skills before expecting results in poker. If you jump to high stakes in the beginning looking for serious money gain you almost sure will lose your own money.

Good thing is that poker allows through freerolls and low stakes games to develop skills at much lower price than other hobbies. You just need patience and will to improve.

I have a different opinion. If you play for money, you need to know what you are doing , and who has discipline can easily make a living of poker. Of course playing for fun is also good, but when you re good at something never do it for free.
