This is a discussion on What your maximum hours you play in one seat? within the online poker forums, in the General Poker section; Hi there, so once we play about 36 hours in one seat! So, is there any more maniac than me in POKER?
In another post, I’ve already written something similar that I played with friends for 48 hours. You could sleep once for 4-5 hours. You had to play because you could only really get out when someone ran out of money or had been there for more than 3 days. Of course the chairs were comfortable, the food was a drink. But it’s not good to play for so long because you’re no longer a human brain and don’t think like you did in the beginning. I did this once and I won’t do it again, because by the time I left for home I had lost half of my winnings because my game wasn’t like it was in the beginning.
You can't play poker for that long. The brain and body get tired when doing the same thing for a long time. Attention and concentration are lost. You shouldn't play more than 8 hours of continuous play.
There were days when I played 12-15 hours a day. But now I play no more than 6 hours a day. I believe that the question of efficiency directly depends on the concentration of the player, so I do not see the point in playing more than 6-8 hours a day.
Wow 36 hours without rest is too much. My personal record for live MTT was around 8 hours and i felt really tired at the end (it was 3AM in the morning). I have heard stores for people playing for 24 hours straight in a local casino but i have not seen it personally so i don't know if it was true or just a story.
DON'T DO IT.......it's really stupid. When I was young ...fit healthy and very strong...I thought I was invincible... I pushed myself to the limit and thought nothing of it. I abused my body. I now have health issues I probably would not have had if I had looked after myself better....that includes getting proper rest.
Once I entered a tournament and did not pay attention to the structure of the blinds, the blinds for 20 minutes. My game lasted 15 hours in this tournament, I was very tired, but for this I was rewarded with second place, the amount was not bad)
There is no other fate than that which we choose ourselves!
