I will use some of it for better home, some for other hobbies, some for travel, some for financial reserve in future and some to continue playing poker. I am sure though that this will not happen to me at lest in near future.
If we are talking about a large enough amount of money, the first thing I would do would be to move somewhere by the sea. I would buy a house on the beach, and spend the rest of my life happy looking at the sea, and listening to the sea waves.
Well I would continue to manage it in tournaments to multiply the poker money won, as I still do today, it is not a quick investment but if it works out it will be very productive.
I would use rule 50, 30, 20:
I would withdraw 50% for personal expenses.
I would put 30% into my bankroll.
I would use 20% to enter another high value tournament.
define large. Either way keep playing poker, buy ins & number of games would depend on how much I won. For sure set half or more aside for retirement, which I am already doing. Would be nice to play knowing you do not have to, doing it just for the pleasure.
