This is a discussion on What kind of player do you consider yourself? within the online poker forums, in the General Poker section; I consider myself passive aggressive although you tell me it cost several important tournaments because of the surerte factor ... lol
I am no upcoming superstar, reality check a practical player who enjoys playing poker. We all get hot playing poker and have really good runs and then boom the lights go out and you become a practical poker player once again. Capo1014
I consider myself a bit conservative player, lately I try to play with the tables for cash tables, I need to improve in tournaments there I consider myself very low. I rarely bluff, I believe that consistency and reading is essential to improve at poker.
I consider myself passive aggressive although you tell me that it cost me several important tournaments because of the surerte factor ... hehehe
When I started to play I was very aggressive. After reading the poker player styles, I was more inclined to be a tight aggressive player, but with time and the years I adapted more and I fit in more with that of a little loose and aggressive.
Although, I have been playing poker for about three years, but I tend to consider myself a beginner. My style of play depends on many factors, but in most cases I try to combine different styles.
when I first started playing poker, I was a tight player, I played only on the card, after a while, I expanded the playing cards a little and became tight-aggressive, but now I have experience and knowledge, I adapt to my opponents and try to play as many hands as possible, which I have a loose-aggressive style of play.
Hmmmm, good question....
I consider myself as a passive/ agressive player. But i like to change my mind and my type of playing when i loose too much at the start.
Thats mean for me i dont use the good strategy for this table or this players.
Then i change, start to trap other player.
After reflexion im a switcherplayer.
I like to change type of game and surprise my opponents.
I've always had a tight aggressive playstyle. Now I want to try to expand my range and start playing a little more aggressively than I played before. I got bored of playing very tight, I want to watch the flop much more often. I tried to play more aggressively, I liked it, I want to see what the result will be.
I pretty much adjust my game to the other players on the table. In other words, if I'm in a game where I judge the other players to be mostly tight, I'll play loose, but not too loose. In contrast, if I judge them to be mostly loose, then I tighten up, but not too tight. I've found that if I play tight early in the game then I can get away with bluffs more often later in the game. And if I play loose early in the game then often I can trap my opponents more successfully later in the game.
You do have to keep a lookout for good players though. They'll often switch back and forth between loose and tight. Those who never change their play are the ones you can usually cash in on, though they do sometimes get lucky, or you get unlucky, depending on your perspective.
I consider myself a careful player, trying to minimize the inadequate risks of my opponents, but I also do not stick to one strategy and with a good stack I can play more aggressively with medium cards.
It depends, there are times when you just don't hit the flops. I have had times that over 50 hands, not one flop hits. Those times, I play tighter than the space station air lock.
When I am hitting flops I play like a very loose maniac.
