10 years ago I caused many financial problems, but I learned to solve the situation, I learned to control my expenses and now he matured and he knows how to handle me and has given me results and earned money, I do not play by necessity now

I personally don't think it affects my health or something like that. I just close off shop for a day and play poker like a nutcase from time to time.. but that's my choice. It also doesn't affect my finances and if I get the feeling I'm depositing more than I should, I just use the responsible gaming options and get some cooldown time.

less sleep... becouse im just play in night.. feel so tired when i wake up in the evening.. good things is Im getting fresh when i log into my pokerstars app and play online poker.. but i know this habbit bad for my health in the future.. i can deal with that.. sometime you have to sacrafice something important for things that you love...

To be perfectly honest, the Respoible Gaming features on PokerStars were lifesavers for me and I advice everyone to use them once in a while. Less so on 888, where you can't do much but exclude yoursef for a long period of time or set a deposit limit.

I play on a hobby level, with no money or mental problems.

in my case is very positive, because I got depressed for some time, and through poker I managed to distract myself and I even had good profits sometimes, I think my jump is very positive so far because despite having zeroed the account , I took enough of my profits to go out with friends, to make purchases ... that helped me a lot to combat depression.

I dunno I play poker for fun I don't risk anything I cant afford to loose so I would say its been positive to my health. it gives me something to focus my energy on that brings new challenge every day

i luv play poker for monies and do so most nights
i been playing and lose money most every night, i new still learning (started poker in May)
i set a budget of $20usd a day for poker buy-ins (i play MTT) so that's all i spend/lose...
($600 a month i can easy afford)
i hardly ever spend $20 a night, some nights i even win somethings lol

i play poker cause i love it .. make a FT of an MTT almost as good as sex!

so i happy pay up to $20 a day play and have a great time - cheap entertainment
if i went to the bar how much i spend? (unless find a boy pay it all lol)

For me its like this. I play poker to make extra money. I have a real job and in free time whe im in the mood i play some tables.
In past i had some times when poker was my only job and i've played a lot..but i didnt lose money or something.

Pokers impact on my life? I take more naps then I used to.. I would love to be one of the guys who grind it out and make a living at doing this. I'd also love to.. hit the lottery. Neither one seems likely to happen. Do I like poker? Absolutely.. I also like fishing and golf. All three are hobbies that make life more enjoyable to me.. and all three cost me money.

I work on my fishing skills.. I work on my golf game and I work on my poker playing.. All three have something in common, I don't see myself winning any major tournaments in any of them.

Health wise none of the three are hurting me, none of the three are causing any problems.

With that being said I do think playing poker would have the biggest chance of upsetting peoples lives. The hours that could be spent daily could easily have a negative impact on your health(sitting long periods) and your wallet.

An example on the impact on your wallet would be something like. Missing work for a tournament. "I did ok.. ended up going out on the bubble.. but I'll get them next time."

So didn't win any money.. it cost money to enter the tournament, and I lost out on 240 bucks I would have made at work. Rinse and repeat. Yeah, without self control one shouldn't play poker.. (man this response is such a downer to write)

Back to the freerolls.. they don't effect me quite so much..

I know its something that has been said many times, but only play with the money that you can afford to lose. In that case there is no pressure on you and you can play your game without a worry.

Otherwise you would have to take risks and consequently stress would mount on you. That could lead to terrible decisions and cost of your money which would ultimately end in health issues.

Because of poker, I have started to eat healthy, exercising twice a day, meditating etc, and my patience and concentration have improved. + I don't have so much fear of losing anymore than in the beginning my career

I play for fun, not for extra money..just a hobby, investing money in the game I do not think that in the future I will be able to withdraw them back..you know how it goes..

I played strictly for fun and recreation for years and blew plenty of money doing so but viewed it as entertainment and never bet more than I could afford. With that I am pretty well disciplined. Regardless if at the casino or online.

I view the potential to make a living playing poker at a bit of a crap shoot for myself and never put my mortgage, rent or necessities at stake. But I am in it for the long haul. The more I learn about Poker the more I apply it as a philosophy of life. Hedging your bets is key keeping a +EV is helpful but not necessarily profitable in the moment, but I believe it will be over the long haul.

As for being good enough to be a pro I think this would have been easier in my 20s and 30s, even my 40s when I had the stamina to grind for 10-20 hours at a time. But back then it was much more profitable for me to work and make a decent living doing my job, so never considered taking the plunge (It would have admittedly been a disaster if I had lol).

I put my health first so if money is at stake I do not play unless I am well rested and in good spirits. I have found I do not do well if I am in a funky mood so I don't force it at the casino. If I am online I will give up if not feeling well so I can lie down when I need to even if in the middle of a tourney.

Neither of them for sure. Having an athlete's life, I only have to win with poker, and it does not bother me in other activities, on the contrary for me it helps to be better and more focused on other activities

I never put money in pokersroom, I start playing freerolls and I win little money after that sometimes I play freerols and sometimes I play tournament.

That's a good choice, play freerolls till you get better, you can build bankroll for more serious games from there. Poker is a hobby for me. I do it and improve my game. You need to play wisely. You don't know how to control the excitement, so poker is not for you.

It is usually fun but when I lose I get very upset. Also I like to play poker a lot so it takes lots of time. Atleast I have only invested 20 Euros to the game. Sometimes my girlfriend don't like when I play poker so it damages our relationship.

You move to what you think about, my thoughts on poker, is be entertained, and challenge myself to improve my abilities, and sometimes beat some good players.
I never think of the outcome, that is winning money, just concentrate on getting the processes correct and the rewards flow from doing what I learn and implement.
If you have unrealistic expectations you will miss your goals.
If you think you are a loser you will join the 95% who lose.

For now poker has not had any impact on my life maybe because I'm just getting started now and I'm just doing it as a hobby and to improve my game, and hopefully to make money in the near future.

I play just for fun, it's just a hobby, i never spend a cent, but already accomplish some good results at freerolls, so is a profitable hobby for me.

I felt a big impact on my psychological, mainly on the stress and irritability, where I had a worsening.

I think that you should never play poker the financial solution, you have to play at certain periods and do not spend a lot of time because if you lose you will hope to win and as you said we will start selling products or other way to spend poker so do not take poker seriously otherwise it can make life more difficult And good luck to everyone

The way poker affects my health is in a good way. Some days, just occasionally, playing cards on my phone is about all I can do. So the distraction of freerolls and focusing my mind on the cards and opponents makes my bad days better. Then on my good days its an enjoyable and entertaining way to spend a little time.

Poker only benefits me, I started from scratch without spending 1 dollar, all I won was started only in freeroll, the big tournaments I have participated in were with tickts I won here in CC , in freerolls or draws,
I play poker to improve my mind , profits happen when I have a well-balanced mind and a little luck.

It's been kinda up and down for me, but i'm learning everyday to get better

Poker is a hobby for me, so I prefer freerolls and do not risk my own money. Poker is a good opportunity to get distracted and have some fun, so for me personally, this game is useful.

Similarly to others, close to 100% of my BR's have been generated from utilising first/no deposit bonuses and freerolls..

Having made numerous withdrawals and minimal deposits, things are certainly moving in the right direction.

Considering the fact that time spent playing poker is a productive distraction from numerous much more harmful pursuits, all in all poker is very beneficial in my case, thus far.
